Saving meals?

Is anyone using the save meals function on MyFitnessPal app? I have not been a member very long and continue to repeat some meals. If I have input a group of food and it works for me I go back and add it as a saved meal. It then places that meal in my food journal and if I had cucumbers for that meal but do not have any it is easy to remove the cucumbers and add a different item.

    Yes, I do too.
I have recipes in my saved recipes too so I can go back to them and see how much of an ingredient I used when I’m doing it again and can see how many slices of cake I need to cut it into to get the portion size that fits my calorie allowance. Cake! You ask, but of course cake, I’m organising an eating plan to enjoy while I’m either losing weight or maintaining my new body.
I just sometimes need reminding that a slice from a cake cooked in a loaf tin, should be about an inch wide cut across the width not length of the cake and should never be lengthwise down the middle.

I agree about the cake. I am having a dinner party tomorrow night and I am making a peanut butter cake that I have no idea what the calorie content is and it is one of my favorite cakes. I would not be making it if it was not requested.

@dr3107 use the tracker add food my recipes create a recipe and add in your ingredients and serving size and shudder at what it tells you one portion calculates out to, then save and log it AND have a piece JUST ONE and savour then behave the rest of the week
