My Saturday to see office calls.
Mike, just in case you didn't see it, I posted a link to a line of freeze dried camping food on yesterday's thread.
Back surgery is always the last resort, in my opinion. Hope you can avoid it, Dave.
How are you feeling today, Bob? My BIL was pretty sore afterwards.
Scraping to remove tissue on the skull sends shivers down my spine.

Good morning!
Frankie woke me up at the normal 5:30 this morning. I don't know why I need an alarm clock when I have her. Once I've taken her outside and fed her, I'm awake enough that it is hard to think about going back to sleep.
I'm hoping for some rest this weekend. Starting a new job, I don't get a vacation this year. The last that Connie and I travelled was in 2019 before COVID. I'll get two weeks next year.
Continued hot and dry here. At least the humidity is down. It is expected to be hot and humid next week.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Prayers continue for healing and pain management.
Mike, I miss camping. I also have only gotten my kayak wet twice again this year. I can do better.

Mornin’
I need to have a spot on my scalp looked at; primary doc said it’s nothing but my family keep telling me to go to a dermatologist.
Lee, I’ve used the Mountainhouse camping food; it’s very good. A few other brands as well. They don’t carry freeze-dried ingredients, like cheese, veges, etc. which I need for certain homemade recipes I’m making. Dehydrating at home leaves certain things tough and chewy, while freeze-dried reconstitutes much better.
Water temp where DS swam was 74º, he said. When it gets cooler he and his friends all wear wetsuits. The nuts swam in early December last year. Brrrrrr.
I dragged myself out yesterday and went for a hike into the Quabbin wilderness area. Passed two beaver ponds and down to the shore of the reservoir. Stopped here and there, was inspected up close by three wild turkeys with apparently bad eyesight. Eventually did 4 miles of up and down. Hip felt fine afterwards, and good this morning, too. Maybe I should do more of that… I did get a referral to PT from my PCP.
DGS’s first college football game this afternoon. Following in his brother’s footsteps. Don’t know if he’ll play today; hopefully he will.
Have a great day.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Hot, for Tumwater, today, with a high of 87. Cooling, with a chance of rain by Labor Day.
Haven't heard from pain clinic, yet, about scheduling my injections. They will be lateral epidural steroid injections (I think that is the terminology). They'll do the right side first, the left on a second procedure. The doc told me that if I hadn't heard from the schedulers in a couple days to call. I guess they have trouble with follow-up.
Today is the start of the college football season, for most. I might watch a bit.0 -
Good Morning
Dave, I wonder why they are only doing one side at a time. I have had 10 and they have always done bilateral lumbar epidural. But back problems are all unique and thus so are the solutions.
I am not sure what today brings. It will be another cool overcast day which is nice. I believe my wife is wanting to go out for ice cream. I took it easy yesterday to encourage my back to be happier and frankly I was tired from lack of sleep. But today I will work on getting some things done around here that I have been putting off.0 -
Bill, they told me that the injections are diagnostic, as well as therapeutic. They want to be able to isolate and evaluate the effects better, especially in light if possible future surgery.0
