Up with the morning star...
DGS didn't get to play yesterday, but Holy Cross won after a very tight game, pulling ahead in the 4th qtr.
Eldest DD will be flying to Bali on Tuesday to visit her sister who lives there. I hate flying...
Have wanted to camp in Adirondack State Park but camping places all unsuitable--too much carrying, big rapids, in towns or near highways. Yesterday found a nifty wilderness lake there with 5 campsites I might check out. 1500-foot wheelable portage to 3-mile long lake in the "High Peaks Wilderness" area.
Woke pretty early... need my coffee.0 -
Good morning!
Mike, your adventures sound so awesome!
Dave, I'm praying that they can find solutions for your pain management.
I'm trying to decide if I want to take an early morning walk myself. I have not done that for months! I need to get my act together better on that.
I have several things on the list today after taking yesterday pretty much off. Nothing heavy duty. It will be over 95 again today. Too hot to do much outside after about 10:00.
Prayers continue for all of you. Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Walking is just about the perfect exercise. We should all do more, I think.
I watched a little football, yesterday. None of the games out here were very competitive. My Ducks put up 81 points on poor Portland State. Kind of boring after a while, like watching a spring scrimmage.
Sauteed the last of our one big zucchini last night. Racoons got the rest. Tasted great.
Church, this morning, then driving Rita for a couple errands she wants to run.0 -
Good luck with your injections Dave for sure! I was doing pretty well with the biopsy but I also missed a step coming down my stairs early yesterday. After that and some very mild yoga blood in my urine started. Its seems better this morning and hoping it will clear up very soon.
The insertion of the probe which I did without pre-medicating much (1/2 of a percocet) was very very painful and reminds me why I don't wont to go to prison from what I hear. Just sayin'

Good Morning
Bob, you are hard core. My biopsy was done under a general.
Walking may be the best exercise but my back doesn't tolerate it much these days. I think I will try the trekking poles today just to see how far I can go before it starts acting up. I didn't get as much done yesterday as I hoped, even after some light stretching but we did get our trip to Dairy Queen for small Blizzards. We did that about 10 years ago and that is a pretty good pace to hold to. I woke up at 5:00 and had to get moving a bit. So since I was up, I was able to catch the Team USA World Cup basketball at 5:30. Not there best effort against a solid Lithuania team. I am hoping to be a bit more productive today and finish the packing I was tried to finish up yesterday.0 -
Good Morning,
Been Churched,
Already 80 this morning but they say now we will have a high of 87.
Back to 90's for balance of week with no rain predicted.
Yes jail and prison is a different world, watching news glad I retired five years ago; Fulton County jail is in news daily, over crowed and not being kept clean as they do not have enough staff. Main problem in Georgia is they closed all mental health hospitals so mental health folks end up in jails.
If I remember correctly blood will last two to three weeks, but I'm on blood thinners when I had last one.
I do not mind short flights but do not like any flight more than five hours, could be why we have not been to many other countries.
Praying for everyone's pain management and healing.
Get some rest Steve.

Afternoon gents.
Slept in 'til almost 6 AM. Met a guy to look at his dog's toe nail on hunt club picnic table. Wound up sedating dog, giving a local, and yanking nail off. Then trained with girls. Came home and started working on the storage shed with 21 years of boxes full of junk, and mouse nests. Took a trailer full of junk to the transfer station.
Ouch, Bob. I'm going to ask for a general.
80's and no rain all week here.
I do not mind flying, except for TSA, and poor communication at boarding, and airports, and...who am I kidding? Flying sucks.
Be OP ;-)0
