Woke at 5 again… pretty dark this time of year. 50º, warming to mid 60s. Taking the canoe on the river today. There’s a few minor rapids and beaver dams, plus some trees to duck under or go around. We bring a bow saw for small branches to avoid carrying if we can. I made some chili I’ll bring in a thermos for lunch.

Bill, I hope your med issues get worked out and you can be able to get out and do stuff as you work through the other treatments. Please hang in there…

    time for coffee...

    Good morning!

Mike, it sounds like you have a great day trip planned. I hope that you find it relaxing and that you get to see lots of wildlife.

I get the dark and cooler thing. I love it! It was 54 this morning when I took Frankie out. The bad thing, however, is that sunset is at 7:10. Ugh.

Dave, I'm glad that you had a nice trip to the coast. It seems like forever since I've seen the coast (2007).

Lots going on today at work. I'm happy that it is keeping me busy.

Bill, I hope and pray that you find some relief soon.

Lee, send the leftovers to Kansas.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning

I was up at 3am due to a stiff back. 2nd day in a row. I must of gotten into an odd position during the night. It is beginning to loosen up now. We postponed our movie date till today so Heather could do her laundry so she can pack for her trip. It gave me a chance to bang on the strings and make sense out of our Social Security payments received. To add to the fun, my eldest wanted to go over his student loans and figure out how the payments had been applied to his 2 loans. Off to the movies today for A Haunting in Venice and then home for Pepperoni Pizza. A chain is offering 49% off when the Niners win. There will also be more dulcimer banging as I prepare for the dulcimer workshops at this weekends Festival. Teachers have begun to send out handouts. We may try another attempt at walking and see if some stretching etc beforehand will let me walk for more than 5 minutes.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Hope you can get out for a walk, Bill. Glad to hear you are back on your dulcimer. Making music is good for the soul.

    Enjoy the river, Mike.

There were some wild waves hitting the beach, yesterday. Supposed to be even bigger, today. Up to 18-foot swells, they predict. I don't think we will make it out on the beach today, anyway. Check out is at 11. A woman was swept away by the waves on a beach north of here, yesterday. Very sad. The rogue waves can surprise you, if you don't keep an eye on what is happening.

Yeah we got more rain in our neighborhood than usual locatio9ns in Portland OR or the Coast. Over 1.2 inches since Saturday for storm total. Needed the rain.
Sounds like a great trip Mike!!
Glad your back is loosening up Bill. Betcha play a "mean dulcimer" teehee.. Hope the walking works for ya!!
So sad to hear about yet another victim to the waves. Happens way to often along the Oregon and Washington coastline. Gotta watch 24/7 for waves and drifting logs too. The "sneaker/rogue waves" can raise real havoc.
Hope all are moving about and doing ok with their bodies today.
