    Good morning!

Collin started his new job yesterday. He is really liking it so far. Woot!

I miss seeing the Oregon coast. I really hope to get back there one day. It is not high on Connie's list, so that is a problem. We have not travelled since 2019 before the pandemic.

How did you like the movie, Bill? I hope and pray that your back is doing better today.

Dave, I'm glad that you had a nice few days at the coast.

    Have a great day!

How was the canoe trip, Mike. See any mooses?
Bill, I channeled your back pain yesterday morning. For some reason, my lower back was a big ouch when I got out of bed. Took extra ibuprofen and by late afternoon it was better, but then my knees were both very swollen and sore. Am guessing I was having a traveling psoriatic arthritis flare. Am totally fine this morning.
Is one of the side effects of the new med, OIC?
I was reading about the recent losses of people getting swept out to sea just playing in the surf on NW coast beaches. I did not realize it was so dangerous. Hope Sassy and the grands stay safe!
    Sam, you home yet?
Steve, are you still E-biking? My grossly overweight 73 yr old sister with asthma and bad knees just got a E-trike. She wanted a bicycle, but I talked her into the trike. I felt like she needed it to be stable at a stop and not require one of her legs with a bad knee to keep from falling over. Unfortunately, she is in Florida so I cannot help her get it out of the box so she can start riding. She has to get maintenance in her building to come assist and that could take a while before someone gets there.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

To play in the surf out here, you need a wet suit. The water is cold, year-round. The woman lost this week was just walking and probably not paying attention. Rogue waves are a real thing.

Glad to get home to our own bed last night. Sassy is a bit down. Always that way when she says goodbye to the grandkids and their parents. She loves her extended family.

Rainy weather has really set in, and we have no appointments, so it's shop time, today.

    Good Morning

Waves and riptides seem to mesmerize people every year. Folks hear about large breakers and they head to the coast to see it and turn their brain off. Regrettably they bring their kids with them.

We enjoyed the movie, though I don't think Kenneth Branagh is a convincing Poirot. A dark but engaging film.

I have been able to get my back more under control. We went for an easy 20min walk yesterday without a problem. I did a light stretching & movement workout and then used the massage gun to loosen some of the knots in the back. I used it before and after. I had no significant pain yesterday except for the first few hours or so out of bed. But I am still on an opiod 24/7 and expect to remain that way for the rest of the year at least. The Belbuca is stronger than Tramadol. Lee, no constipation (close to the opposite), but my stomach is upset and there is some slight nausea in the afternoons. So far I haven't had to take anything to compensate, but I do keep the Odansetron handy. Frankly, the worst side effects I suffer is from the hormone therapy and some disruption to my sleep patterns. More hammering today as Heather finishes getting ready for her flight out in the morning. I have several basic melodies I downloaded and need to try and learn in prep for the Dulcimer Festival workshops that begin on Friday.

    Happy Humping,
Not planning on going home till Saturday, but that could change; had another incident Monday night: had I been home would have went ER. Headache better today, face still drawn and limited use of left side. These are getting too frequent.
Congrats to Steve and Colin finding work he enjoys.
Sounds as Sassy enjoys energy of grands.
There is no rhyme or reason as to when arthritis is going to act up or where it attacks.
60's would be too cold for me to be out on water
Bill, glad you are getting pain in manageable state; when do start treatments?
Bob, do you have a plan of attack?
    Getting old stinks!

    Good afternoon.

I have PT evaluation this afternoon, for sore hip. Of course it’s been getting better lately, and the more frequently I hike the less it hurts. They’re going to throw a net over me and lock me up.

Canoe trip was a trip… tons of trees down and water not high enough to flow over them all. We had to get out and portage around several times. But the weather turned out good and we saw lots of wild ducks, a few large herons, and two beavers saluted us as we neared the end. My boots and pants are caked with mud and I need to hose out the canoe.

    Off to PT.
