    • Fun day of doggo's on BBB!
    • DMIL home. After being transported to shock trauma and a CT scan, its fractured, but "will heal on its own" so gave her choice to heal or surgery. She opted for heal. DW is so tired already. Glad it wasn't worse.
    • Today we learn if we return to work on Monday or not. How exhausting is this BS every year!
    • New AppleWatch arrived. Got used one for sale. Lots of low ball offers. Ugh.
    • CBC and EKG later this morning. Fasted all day and really wanted a Miller last night too!

    Good morning and greetings from the Austin airport where I've had my requisite breakfast taco and am now waiting on my plane to board while drinking what I'll charitably call coffee.

    I'll be in Louisville over the weekend to see what's going on up there and get a temperature check on dad after the appointment with the surgeon. Amazingly, it's been a month since I've been on a plane...

    Glad it wasn't worse for DMIL, Skip!

    • Sounds like the best news possible for DMIL Skip.
    • Caretaker duty can be exhausting. I don't speak from experience, but I've seen it in others.
    • Some interesting baseball this last weekend for Dave's Mariners, Astros, Cubs and Marlins.
    • Enjoy your baseball outing tonight, Mary. That should be fun. Your Brewers are having a great year.

    TV is on early, for the Ryder Cup. The US is getting spanked. Last US win in Europe was 1993.

    Had a battle with racoons last night. When I took Sassy out for her last constitutional, she raced over to our grape arbor. A pair of racoons were on it looking into my flashlight. They wouldn't move when Sassy and I ran at them. I finally found a stick and hit one of them before they disappeared on the other side of the fence. Bold, or stupid? Wish I lived in the country and had a .22.

    SGM - my DF has similar issues with some very stupid groundhogs. He lives in a trailer/duplex-type community. And has regaled me for years of shooting groundhogs in the tucass with a BB gun perched on his deck.

    Ugh on the Ryder. On the lighter side, I created an ode for us Feds getting ready to be on hiatus:

    Nothing but bad news in Indiana. The venue got ahold of ds2 and his fiancé. Looks like they’re closing January 1. That gives them 6 months to find a new venue on April 13th. Date can’t change. Many are traveling internationally. Ugh.
