    A function at the church this morning, then DGS's football game at 5:00. They're playing Harvard. This one is at the beautiful new ballpark in Worcester. More comfortable seats, though pricier food and drink.

    Piano work took 8 hours yesterday; regulated all the dampers — 2 or 3 hours — and discovered I had done it all wrong somehow and had to start over. It rained all day and I never got in a walk. Heard there was more flooding in places.

    Good morning!

    It seems like the entire northeast is getting hammered with rain. NYC is especially bad. Mike, enjoy the football game today.

    Frankie let me sleep in until 6:00 this morning!

    I heard Collin get home last night, so I asked him how it went. He said "good". Yippee!!

    I'm not sure what is on tap for today. The high is supposed to be 92. I do need to do some work outside. At least it is not as humid as it can get in summer. The weather dudes say that we'll get our Autumn next weekend.

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Glad Collin got through Day 1 ok.

    Should be a nice day, today, with a high around 60. It's 39, right now. That's the first low in the 30s since April.

    Our local grocery - Fred Meyer - was bought out by Krogers a few years ago. The big company, with no connection to Northwest culture has been phasing out coffee beans, in favor of ground coffee. With no access to our usual light roast Columbian, we decided to try a bag of beans from Costco. Sadly, I hate it and now have to work through a kilo of coffee that is less than pleasant. Bad way to start the day.

    Gorgeous here in PDX. Not a cloud in the sky and going from 47deg up to ab out 69deg for a perfect fall day. If it gets below about 45 degrees I will need to bring the Dipladenia and its container inside. A wonderful gift from our neighbor for our 50th wedding anniversary.

    Sorry about the coffee.
