Dog trial this weekend. Got to trial site yesterday morning and since it sits near a river that flooded its banks, it was completely underwater. Thankfully we found an emergency location to hold yesterday's and today's trials. Albeit a bit on the muddy side, we got it done and well get 'er done today.
Rain is over, North East just has to dry out now.
Bet there is some good canoeing to be done.
We have had that issue with coffee before, Dave. We rescue ourselves by getting a better coffee and mixing with the lesser coffee to make it drinkable. If that fails, then we just take the hit and ditch the bad coffee.
Be OP ;-)

Good morning!
I have been trying to work my way through some bad coffee as well. Coffee is NOT the place to try and save a few bucks.
I didn't get any chores done yesterday. That means more today. That's OK. I'll get done what I get done.
Connie was ordered by her doc to start eating more veggies and more fruit. It is hard to add that to a sucky diet. I am doing my best to help her. It does not hurt me either.
It will be interesting tonight. Which is more important. The Chiefs vs. the Jets, or Taylor Swift sightings. Sigh....
Have an awesome day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Coffee tastes better, this morning. Maybe it's just me. There are several local roasters that produce fantastic beans. But I won't pay $20 a pound for coffee beans.
It should be nice, today: sunny and 65. We'll give Sassy a bath. Rita washes and I dry. It's a coin toss to see who gets wetter. Always a good laugh.0 -
Mornin men.
Off to church.
We lost to Harvard, giving them 5 turnovers. Yuck. I watched from DD’s couch with her, on ESPN, as she couldn’t go due to a wrenched neck that laid her up.
Have a good day all.0 -
Good Morning
I apologize for not checking in yesterday, I just realized it. I was feeling poorly. I thought it might have been a side effect to the new pain meds, but it was just a stomach virus of some sort. 2 1/2 days later I seem to be back to normal. I slept like a rock last night after rocking up a solid 11 hours over 3 nights. Dulcimer Festival is finishing up with two concert session the first of which just started. Good stuff. I did nod off a bit in my last workshop which was very good but I was to tired to pick it all up. Patrick made dinner since I wasn't up to it. He is a great cook when he tries. He made an amazing focaccia, along with some meatballs in sauce. The sauce he skipped and used a jar of Newman's. No complaints and plenty of left overs.
Coffee is not worth skimping on, though a light roast does cause me to rudely snicker "what's the point". I ship my beans in from Grounds For Change in Paulsboro. 2lb bag is $35 but you get to 20 with shipping, less if you order multiple bags since it is flat rate shipping. I drink mostly drink their dark or medium roast DeCaf. Good Stuff Maynard
Steve, on of the teachers and performers this Festival was Abby the Spoon Lady. She is in Kansas and stopped every song to wipe down with a towel and complain about the humidity. Does anyone in Kansas like the weather?1 -
OK Bill, you threw down the gauntlet. A light roast is not weaker. It has more caffeine, in fact. It also has a smoother taste, with fewer burned notes. We make our coffee plenty strong, but like it smooth, with fruity notes, not acrid and bitter. So there!1
