    Thanks Sam!
Well, I might have had a bit of a moment yesterday afternoon, with placement announcements at the end of the trial. All I needed was a 4th place for Babe to achieve her Amateur Field Champion title (the whole point of playing the game), she is almost 10 yrs old and realistically, she is nearing the end of her field trial career. 4th place was given to another well deserving dog, 3rd place was given to another well deserving dog, 2nd place was given to Lucy who had a very nice trial as well. I was really disappointed at that point, because I thought Babe had run well enough for a placement, but blue ribbons are elusive. Then Babe was announced as the winner of the trial and I am pretty sure my heart stopped. I elatedly accepted the ribbon and I am still on cloud nine.
Posted a link on yesterday's thread about the coffee M and I get delivered to our doorstep. Less expensive than what you all were discussing and it is darn good coffee. We drink the dark roast. And Dave is correct the lighter roasts do have a bit more caffeine.
Me dad loved the sayin', "Opinions are like ***holes, everybody has one, and they all stink except mine."

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Morning!

Congratulations Babe & Lucy! Well done!

Speaking of well done, I like medium best, but I also enjoy dark roast. I like different varieties, but Collin does not, so we drink mostly a Columbian blend. One thing, however. I drink coffee, not something other than coffee with cream and sugar and fru fru. Black only here. Maybe a cappuccino with a nice dinner out.

It is still in the 90s here, and humid. I just walked 30 minutes on the treadmill and worked up a nice sweat. It is supposed to rain tomorrow night, and then we might see Autumn with 30 degree cooler weather for several days.

Bill, I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel better.

    Have a great day!

    Morning…

Lee, you must be a proud papa! Two ribbons! Very cool.

I’m not a coffee gourmet, but I vary what I buy from month to month, and if I’m not happy with something I don’t buy it again. Last bag I bought was Wake Up Club, on sale… 2# for $8. Not very good, needless to say.

Bright and sunny this morning; supposed to be upper 70’s this week, then turning cold, highs in 50’s and lows 30’s. Intended to hike yesterday, or visit DD in Lunenburg, or go to the piano concert in Ashburnham. Never made it out the door other than to church, or out sitting on my balcony, reading.

My Tim Horton’s coffee is brewing on the counter...

    Good morning gentlemen.

I loved the photo of Babe and Lucy, Lee. Congratulations, all around. Surprised to hear Babe is 10. How did that happen? Time does fly.

I'm actually not much of a coffee snob. I'll drink most anything, as long as it is strong. I can't abide weak coffee. I put cream AND sugar in my coffee - sometimes. Drink it black - sometimes. Never put any strange, flavored stuff in my coffee. Used to enjoy a cup of sludge that had been stewing away in a big stainless-steel percolator for 10 or 12 hours.

Going to be a rainy day, today. I have a small vase on the lathe I started yesterday. Need to finish the bottom and then buff it up. Rita has her Monday errands to run, too.

    Good Morning

Congratulations Babe & Lucy. I agree how did Babe get to be 10. Seems like it wasn't too long ago she was just a rambunctious pup.

I love good coffee. A well brewed cup of a darker roast is full of flavor notes. Yes I am a coffee snob, but I do like our local McDonalds coffee as a good basic cup of coffee at a decent price. But cream and sugar????? I am sad.

The festival ended with 2 2 1/2 hour concerts. My back is a little sore from too much sitting and playing but it should respond to some ice and TENS to get it back to 'normal'. Off for a final visit with the knee surgeon and then Whole Foods for fresh fish. Just picking things up today around the house.

Big congrats to Lucy and Babe with their ribbons Lee!!!
Coffee is quite an art form and not just about grind/drk vs light etc. Some of the best coffee on the planet that I have tasted was espresso decaf americano. When done by a champion barista who gets the tamping of the local ground beans just right it is ambrosia indeed. The tamping has everything to do with the taste and strength of a proper americano. French press also makes great coffee as does my coffee maker. I always drink mine black without cream or sugar. I will drink most coffees but like it on the tasty side like Dave.

Sorry about the football loss to Harvard Mike.
