GM (or late evening as it were)! Thanks for all the T&Ps and well-wish, BBB family!

I couldn't sleep because I had to go downstairs for X-rays. An hour later, they took me for a CT scan. The doctors just completed their rounds and checked my vitals. Unfortunately, I can't get comfortable. There's a possibility of a second surgery at 3 p.m. tomorrow, but I'll know more about it in the early morning.

Lou, I've been having some passive-aggressive fun with some of the techs. It's all in good fun, including a visit to the bathroom that made Forest Gump's experience at the White House scene seem like child's play.

Browsing cars online (dangerous for me). Watched O's get eliminated (sad).

Sunny today, then 4 days of rain to come. We cancelled our weekend lake plans and will just stay home.

Going over to see my grandson later today so Dad can do some outside chores.

Extended warranties are a scam, Skip! Don't do it. They'll always find a way to blame the issue on a part that's not covered, like your spleen or something. Prayers for whatever shenanigans they have in store today for you. 🙏

Today is going to be a mixed bag with all my meetings squeezed in before 2, so I've just got to hang on until then. Then tomorrow afternoon/evening we have an event on education that'll keep me downtown until 9.

I've sent Trafalgar a note asking about swapping trips. We'll see what they say.

A brief update on my situation. Unfortunately, the doctor confirmed that I need to go back on the surgery table at 3 pm today to do some mechanical work on the screw/cage assembly. The good news is that this should prevent pancake collapse from other discs and I can begin physical therapy as soon as possible after the surgery.

I was told to not eat or drink anything for most of Monday and was only given jello last night. Today, I am not allowed to eat or drink anything at all. I am really craving a cup of coffee this morning, but I'll have to wait. Thank you so much for all the continued notes of encouragement, thoughts, and prayers. It means a lot to me. ~Skipper

Keeping you in prayer Skip, pray surgery this afternoon gets everything correct with no pain.
I would feel for you going without for a couple of days but in January 2011 I had to go a couple of weeks with them saying we are going to do surgery tomorrow.
Sounds like too much work Lou.
Hope you had a great birthday Kelly, now work on Birthweek and Birthmonth.
I believe Mary has a major Birthday tomorrow, and she did start celebrating last weekend.

• It is appearing a different destination might be a good idea Lou. At least for the short term.
• A 2nd surgery, ok. No coffee, that's really cruel.
• Getting that 2nd surgery taken care of right now is a whole lot better than scheduling months down the road. Best of luck my friend.
• It does not appear that a bye in the 1st round of the MLB playoffs was especially good for any of the team, well, maybe the Astros are the exception. Hopefully the Braves will come back strong.
