G'Morning (early morning)~
- Very tired but cannot sleep. Didn't get back into me room until around 8p. Got some crackers and a County Jail-type turkey on wheat with no condiments that I ate like it was my Last Supper!
- 2 surgeries / 2 days. Don't recommend it. Bandaged heavily on left side above hip and heavily on the lumbar lower right. I've been keeping proactive induction of pain pills so I'm unsure how much it hurts yet.
- Advocating to stay here tomorrow and go home Friday. I would like to get a CT/MRI while I am at the hospital and rest here one more day. DW is up to eyebrows caring for her Mum.
- Made it in time to see the last few innings of the Braves game, Dennis. Ugh. Glad the Dodgers are out.
- Mary can't recall - so did you buy the Glamper you went to look at? As I understand, you placed the current Glamper on an adjacent and new one on your current lot. Right? Pics?
- Weekend plans, anyone? I miss my pupper pal, Tucker!!

What a good trooper, Skip. Good job with taking pain meds as prescribed to prevent pain. I find with my ortho patients, that good pain management for the first 5 days post op makes for a better recovery.
Go Diamondbacks! Go Rangers! Am worried about Atlanta.

We have an event that won't get me home until well after 9 tonight. But there will be dinner served, so that's something.
Cecilia started looking at the tour company and quickly got overloaded. She'll try again today. The company has canceled all Israel tours through December already.0 -

Speedy recovery Skip. I hope you get to stay as long as you need.
Ron's Dr prescribed some anxiety meds that cause drowsiness. So far he has taken them two night and had a pretty good sleep last night. We still don't know the plan. We need to be out of the US 17 more days between now and Dec 1 for our international health insurance so need to decide soon where to go for a couple of weeks.
I called his family yesterday to fill them in and his dad offered up his house in Clearwater FL to us. He said he pretty much lives with "a friend" now so it is empty. We will likely take him up on that later this winter. It's not as nice as here with friends but walkable to Aldi and Walmart so won't have to rent a car except for dr visits.

I have little remaining interest in baseball; Mariners folded late and the Cardinals early. The playoffs remind me of 2001, when the Mariners were unstoppable all season, winning a record 116 games, then lost to a mediocre Yankee team in the playoffs. As they say, "That's baseball."
Follow-up appointment, this morning, for my back injection. I have experienced no positive effects, at least since the first two days. We'll see what they say.0 -

Me thinks the PA from my Spinal Surgeon is smart! I didn't even have to ask this morning about staying one extra day to do imaging, IV antibiotic treatment, OT and PT. During rounds, she suggested it to prevent infection and to assess ambulation. SO alas, I am here until tomorrow. She took time to explain how grossly degenerative spine has become. This picture shows like half moon where they are concerned about pancake collapse - so put in a plate to keep them from doing so. Trouble walking today with OT - left leg is really not cooperating - but we all think its swelling on lumbar that controls neuro to that leg. Was funny (not funny) asking the 20-something OT intern to help me get my boxers on......
Three days without coffee - ordered SBUX from DoorDash. Ordered a Venti blonde roast and a piece of banana bread. $20 with delivery and tip fee's. What shows up? A mini pup cup size cup of coffee๐คฌ๐คฌ. Needless to say, tomorrows DoorDash delivery will be free ๐
Thanks for the well wishes! Should go home tomorrow without a doubt.

- Get well Skip and listen very closely. Follow their instructions. I'm glad you got some real coffee. Maybe tomorrow you'll get a big boy cup.
- I'm worried about the Braves too. I'm telling you getting a bye in the playoffs is not a good thing.
- Steph, a couple of weeks in the Bahamas could be affordable and relaxing. I can taste the conch salad and Bimini bread.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I've been spoiled by many and got some Grandbaby snuggles in too!
Skip, we looked at a $16K glamper, reduced from 20k, private party sale, the floor in front of the door was soft (water damage). We quitely left, ran. No thanks.
We cancelled going up north to lake. Rain will be here all weekend. I have a birthday date Sat.night with Dh. He won't say where, says I'll see....

I could side with a BBB buddy here and cheer on the Braves, why not! At one time they were the Milwaukee Braves.
