Big Day yesterday - sold the 1978 Corvette and traded in the Jaguar. Both in preparation for this upcoming assignment to US Coast Guard Academy. Vette buyer is buying for herself; I needed something bigger than the Jag to play I-95 taxi for Tucker and I from January 2024 - May 2025. Lots to do to get things ready to ship; receive; etc. New whip arrives Friday. Vette ships to Maryland on Friday.
Hoping Lee is home (or near home)!
NLCS and ALCS have been fun games to watch.
Forgot this weekend in the Del Webb annual Halloween party. My neighbors will either love me or look at me with disgust. Its a fine line. Like Lou, live on the edge!

New whip??? What are we getting?
I have contuing ed today conveniently located right next door to the liquor store that carries Malรถrt. I'm going to see if they have the Pumpkin Spice version during lunch.
.. and speaking of questionable choices with alcohol...
(At this point, I try to change the subject and shift the collective to the t-shirts the bar sells - anything other than cutting off factory-installed equipment.)
Me: Show them that cool sweatshirt you got for your boyfriend. I was thinning of getting the "American until Texas secedes" one.
Him: Oh yeah. I should probably go find him before he gets b****y. But I've got to say something.
Narrator: They're not going to see the sweatshirt.
Him: You (talking to me) are probably the straightest guy I've ever met. Just the right amount of uncomfortable in the men's room back there, but you just rolled with it. I could just sit on your lap right now, and it wouldn't even phase you.

- I started my day with my Emmaus Reunion group. Good stuff.
- So what is this USCGA stint Skip? Local young lady we sponsored at Girls State is hoping to be there next year.
- Yeh, the NLCS and ALCS are / were great baseball.
- Life with Lou, never dull.
- DW caught an episode of Love After Lock Up and dang if she doesn't know the ex-inmate and his mother.

DHS is sending one lucky person (Moi) to the USCGA for a two year assignment as Visiting Scholar Professor. I will report first week of January (barring no Govt shutdown) ๐ and complete the 2024 and full 2024/2025 Academic year. Tucker will be joining me - as I found a B&B that will do long-term; dog-friendly; with their own two friendly pups on site with a 1.5 acre rear yard. WIN WIN!
