    Good morning.

MFP was being cranky this morning, but it appears we're back.

So where were we? Lou is doing an impression of a chair and a married father of two is (unbeknownst to him) longing for the touch of another man. That leaves...

    Him (to PW2): And you...

Jealous Husband/Boyfriend: What the h**l is going on here? I've been looking for you.

JHB is *maybe* my height, older, and lanky, so I'm pretty sure PW1 can take him if he wants to take that walk on the wild side. Both wonks have that look on their faces that says "Are we really going to Florida?" (if you remembet that old Disney commercial)

Him: I'm just talking to my new friends that I made while looking for you. *conspiratorial wink in our direction* Guys, this is my boyfriend.

PW1: I thought you said husband?

JHB: I am. Look, I'm tired and I'm hungry. It's time to get the **** out of here.

Him: Hmm. With that attitude, maybe you won't get your present.

(Of note, our friend remained sitting on my thigh even with JHB there)

With that, our friend and JHB left us to our drinks. We'll never know the sexual preference of PW2 (also married with kids) and that's our cross to bear, I suppose.

The moral of the story - always have that last drink with the guys (or gals, I suppose). Amazing stories don't start with salads.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I can vouch that most of my stories started after 'one more' drink.
    • I started my day with boot camp with 3 ladies my age that kicked my butt.
    • I'm playing chauffeur for a neighbor friend who is getting a colonoscopy today. My life is so exciting.
    • Welcome home Lee.

    Morning BBB

I was always the gal who went out for a drink after work events. While I don't exactly need these contacts anymore I bet I could network a job in a week if I wanted. Plus ya know the great stories.

Not sure of plans today. Ron left for a beach walk while I drank my coffee. Waves are big on the north side of the island and shore is rocky so he can't go far. Our hike yesterday was mostly a bust. Trail was unbearably overgrown about a mile in so we turned back but then took a pleasant drive and found a few places we could swim or snorkel.

Our house is pretty great for an airbnb. It's one dishwasher shy of being perfect.

    G'Morning
    • Love it! In fact, my pals and I long ago thought it would perfect to open a Bar Lounge and call it: "Just Won More" - I digress.
    • Surgical follow-up went well. Still pretty swollen so started another round of steroids. Gonna take a few more days off work.
    • DF's Mustang arrived in my back yard last night. He's convinced he can get TWICE the value if I sell it here versus Maine. He's living in another dimension. Oh well.
    • Prayers for the victims of Lewiston, Maine. Ugh!
    • Sunny and 80 yesterday; today; rinse repeat tomorrow and Saturday too! Unreal temps for us this late in the season!
    • Great photo of your completed R/T excursion, Doc! Tastes Great! Less Filling!

    Good morning BBB friends.

There was a chance of frost, this morning, but we only made it to 35. Should be sunny and cool, today: high 40s.

This seems to be my week for "the guy." So far, I have talked to a guy to clean gutters and roof (have to call him back), two guys to remove a flowering cherry tree in the front yard, and a guy to fix and service the gas fireplace. I used to do all this stuff myself. Am I getting lazy, or just old?

Hope the swelling goes down, Skip. I await updates on the latest auto transactions.

    Good Afternoon,
I've got where I call a guy now, something I would never do a couple years ago.
Warm through Monday then dropping temps for Halloween and balance of week.
