@jessicakrall8 I would like to be excused from weigh in this Wednesday, thanks!
Good morning Shape Shifters. I did not have a good weekend. Saturday afternoon I realised I was scratching myself a lot and being itchy. This got steadily worse and when I went to bed around 21:00, I saw I was covered in red, itchy bumps, likely because of an allergic reaction. It was impossible to fall asleep; it was itching so bad I wanted to take a knife to my skin and at other points it felt like my skin was literally on fire and being burned off. It was horrible and it kept moving to different body parts. I ended up covered in bumps from my ankles to my neck. At 1:10 at night after failing to sleep for over 4 hours, I hopped in the shower because I read that could help. It worked a little bit, but not for very long. I ended up getting around 5 hours of really crappy sleep that night.
On Sunday all stores are closed here, except for the 2 grocery stores. Of course I went looking for something that could help in case it would happen again. The first store had nothing, but the second one actually had allergy medication, so I was really glad about that. Around 15:00 the itching started to flare up again and the bumps returned, so I took a pill. I can't swallow pills, so I chewed it with half a chocolate cookie. It was so gross it almost made me sick. Within like 20 minutes or so, all the itching was gone though, so it did a good job! I was absolutely exhausted and ended up going to bed at 18:00, sleeping for almost 12 hours. It is Tuesday morning over here now, and the itching has stayed away. I did order a drink variety of the medication as an alternative to the pills. I really rather not chew any of the pills again if I don't have to. The drink should arrive later today. I might not need it anymore, but I rather have it just in case. So yeah, not fun at all and I have no clue what caused the allergic reaction in the first place. I had a horrible headache all day on Monday as well, but today seems a bit better. My food has been a disaster because of all of it, so I am skipping the scale tomorrow. Happy Tuesday everyone10 -
@Pupowl that sounds miserable. I’m glad the pill worked and hope you figure out what caused it so you don’t have to suffer so much next time. Hugs3

Rush is on - I closed Home Goods last night until 10PM CST and close Wednesday night; I open Saturday morning at 8AM CST; Home Goods will stay open until 11PM CST starting next week until Christmas - I close 2 nights so it will be rough going6 -
Yikes! 😳 That sounds terribly uncomfortable, @Pupowl! I’m sorry to hear about your allergic reaction and loss of sleep. Have you narrowed down the cause after considering any new food, clothing, household products?
@LaurieWrobo - I hope your work goes smoothly and all the customers are kind during the holiday rush. I’m not a big shopper but I need some new bedding for our guest room. So, I might need to brave the crowds in the next week or two. I’ll be sure to shop at an ‘off’ time and not keep the employees too late when they are trying to close up. I guess you’ll have a lot of steps in the coming weeks! Keep up the good work @LaurieWrobo, @Pupowl, @frankwbrown, @murdog3t, and the rest of our Shape Shifter steppers!

@Pupowl , I just can't imagine how horrid thar was. But I'm glad you're doing a bit better. Sending love, hugs, and prayers.
Tuesday steps 3052.
First day at work but ended up coming home early. I'm in some pain. So Epsom salts with Acv in bath water to see if it helps some of the pain. It usually helps some.5 -
@SavageMrsMoose @PatriceFitnessPal @Armygirlarmyof1 ~ Thanks for the nice comments! I have the medication drink now, but so far so good. I have been thinking about what could have caused it, but there was nothing new, nothing changed, no others foods or soaps or anything so I really don't have a clue. Hopefully it was just a fluke or something.
@Armygirlarmyof1 Missing your steps for Monday

I'm so sorry I'm late! I've been overwhelmed/busy and I had my marathon on Sunday. I had a lot of problems and have been in bad pain. Sigh.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for remembering! I developed horrific leg cramps 9 miles in and I painfully shuffled for 17 miles. Don't let the smile fool you.8 -
@jessicakrall8
Good morning! Please excuse me from this Saturday’s weigh-in. I’m traveling to NYC this weekend! Thanks!3 -
@lianatherunner Congratulations! Looks like a really nice medal too! Honestly, pretty good timing for a marathon, just days after Thanksgiving when your in carbo loading mode.
I see that you’re wearing a camel back. Did they have water support ? Or do you just prefer that? One of my favorite things about an organized race is someone handing me a cup of water every couple miles.
I don’t know if I mentioned it in this group or not, but last May I injured my shoulder. I saw an orthopedic and received a cortisone injection in July which helped a lot. The discomfort has been gradually returning over the past month and yesterday I did something, not sure what, probably carrying boxes, and was in serious pain. My marathon is in 44 days and I definitely won’t be getting all my runs in this week. Running doesn’t particularly aggravate it, it’s just ALL movement. Lol. I am feeling a bit better this morning. We are supposed to get a bunch of snow starting Thursday so we have a bunch of errands to do before hand after being gone so long. The ski hill opens Saturday so I’m hoping to feel like it by Monday. We figure it will be super crowded over the weekend and potentially dangerous with a lot of people and not much open terrain. Looking forward to skiing again.4 -

Apparently I'm holding on - stressing about both jobs, the holidays as I need to be done by 12/14 for my youngest son coming in from Atlanta and having Christmas get together and I feel like I have no time between working 2 jobs and being exhausted5 -

@lianatherunner -- Whoo hoo! A finish is a finish *high five*. I don't know how you managed 17 miles with leg cramps, omgosh, getting across the house with leg cramps is difficult. Congrats on the finish and 68,000 steps in a day is the highest I've ever seen anyone record! Looks like Seattle weather cooperated. Hope recovery is going okay and your getting the legs rolled out.
@LaurieWrobo --Oi' two jobs is a LOT of stress especially this time of year (not to mention people get grumpy in December!). I wish I had something to offer in support, probably it would be virtual hot chocolate and a home made cookie, but that's why I'm here ((hugs)) I hope it gets better and more manageable.

Not surprised, but not happy. I'm getting frustrated with the lack of results. Ive started doing OMAD, and am back to running (with an actual training plan). I'm really hoping to see results next week.6
