Possible freezing rain here this morning. Piano class in a few hours, but might get cancelled.
DD's rental house seems to be sold before even going on the market. Friends of theirs heard about it, offered the asking price and are hearing they're qualified. A nice newlywed couple. I'll be fixing the two broken windows for DD.
Found one more clock still not set to DST, on my 1980's shortwave radio. Are we on DST now, or is that summertime and this is standard time?0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
All three Pacific Coast states have passed legislation to stay on daylight savings time year-round. That change has to be approved by Congress, though. Since the West Coast is made up of Blue states those from Red states block the approval - because anything Blue wants Red opposes. Sigh.
DGD is singing with the school choir at a Veteran's Day assembly, this morning. The kids with veterans in their families were asked to wear part of a uniform. Elsie has one of my BDU jackets, with rank insignia, along with a BDU cap. Rita and I will attend.0 -
Good Morning,
Another MRI scheduled for week after next, hopefully only one doctor's appointment next week.
Then heading to Smokey Mountains for a few days.0 -
Good Morning
Dave it must be something to see your DGD sibging decked out in some of your uniform as part of Veterans day. Enjoy!
We continue to make progress with small but steady steps. We had another productive day outside in the yard without killing ourselves though it was a brutal evening for glute cramping. Took the muscle relaxant early and dug out the heating pad. Today we clean up the mess and disassemble the old compost bin and hopefully the small garden storage shed and go buy 6 bags of bark chips. Tomorrow we can spread them and arrange for a special trash pick up. We now get 3 a year of over 120cf. I will likely use all 3 the months to come. The garden will be composted and wood chipped before next weeks rain. Since we all seem determined to keep our Drs rolling in cash, I will join in and call the Radiation Oncologist. They have yet to schedule my 2 week followup and they told me they will take the initiative. One week later......0 -
Afternoon gents.
We respectfully request photos of DGD in uniform, Dave. Pretty neat stuff.
Sounds like Bill is feeling a bit better.
A friend of mine in Vermont has a very accomplished 7 yr old field trial dog that has prostatic enlargement...he is neutered...the Internal Medicine specialist who ultrasounded him told my friend that it was cancer, "here are some pills and you will need to put your dog down in 5 months". I'm a bit flabbergasted, that no type of confirmation testing was recommended. Is it likely that it is cancer? Yes, but there is a chance it could be something else. So, it falls on me to come up with a list of tests to confirm or debunk the cancer diagnosis. Just FYI, prostatectomy and radiation are rarely done in dogs.
Be OP ;-)
