    Busy "day off"yesterday - going to be busier today.

    Still have persistent and lingering flu (cough/sneezing/congestion). Ugh....

    Driving on the wrong side of the road is just wrong.
    Crotch rockets just don't seem practical unless you need to get somewhere fast all the time. Not really a leisurely ride.
    DW got a call from DSIL yesterday that she had been very ill for 3 days and needed help. She lives remotely in upstate NY that is known for great birding (she is a birder). Any-who, DW gets to her and then drives her to the nearest ER and she tested positive for RSV. It seems her only grandchild is very ill with it and both parents are ill as well. Incubation period of 3-4 days. ER doc prescribed tylenol and chicken soup.
    DW thinks I should get vaccinated for RSV since the practice cannot afford for me to get sick. I reminded her we no longer own the practice and I will not live forever.
    DS#1 is being transferred to Ft Carson in Colorado Springs in the Fall. Woo hoo! Great station for all concerned. DDIL is super happy to be close a metropolis like Denver where she can market her hospitality event planning experience and DS#1will be near great skiing, hunting, and fishing. Grandparents on both sides will find it easier and cheaper to visit DGS.

    Colorado Spr8ngs is a great assignment. Hooray for all.

    Ron has a massage scheduled soon so i need to get going. The last two helped him a ton so I have high hopes. Overall he was low grade anxious all day yesterday. We have a call with our primary today but she made sure we knew she couldn't prescribe anything out of country. I think he will just feel better if he can talk to her.

    We have an area picked out that we think might suit. It's about an hour north of Tampa and in horse country. The neighborhood we hope works out has large lots and lots of trees and is close to many bike trails and kayaking options. There are some new builds there and lots of older homes so we will drive up and check the place out.

    For the short term we will moved into his dad's house. It's not super set up the way we like so we might buy a few things (example a sofa...dad only has recliners) he has a nearly empty florida room so at least it's spacious. But this will buy is some time to look around for a good rental or house without rushing into anything.

    Good morning BBB friends.

    Fort Carson used to be one leg of what we called "The Golden Triangle." the other two were Fort Ord and Fort Lewis. These were widely viewed as the best places in the Army to be stationed. Ord is long since closed, but Carson is still a plum assignment.

    Rita and I will be working on pricing all the woodturnings for this weekend's holiday bazaar. She'll be there all day helping me with the sales, too. I told her I'd split the profits with her 50-50. Last year, I paid her with a hug and a kiss.

    Cecilia didn't make it home yesterday. United messed things up and by the time she'd make it to Houston, it'd have been after the last flight out. So she changed her flight to leave with me tomorrow.
