Love the mattress heating pad! Slept sounder and less achy getting up. My fitbit agrees.
Did not do much yesterday. It pretty much rained all day. Went to the town transfer station with garbage and recyclables, swam the girls in a pond that had a bit of ice on the edges (they loved it), and made some Venison Bourguignon from an old recipe on a piece of kitchen art that my dearly departed DMIL bought back in the '60s. Originally for beef, and one of the things that DW cooked for me when we met, venison and even Canada goose breast (very dark meat) works well. I use the slow cooker. Easy peasy and so very tasty. Julia Child's recipe is a lot of work (I've done it) and the end product is not any better than this one.
I need to think about a trip to Virginia to restock the freezer with venison before the season is over.
Glad you have Rita back.
Taylor Swift is bad luck for the Chiefs, I'm convinced. P Maholmes and company looked bad.
Be OP ;-)

Going to breakfast with ROMEO's this morning
Continue prayer for Bob's DW and Bill.
For years kept electric blanket on bed, do not know if they even make them anymore.
Steve, hope you have a great week,
Dave, did Rita bring back a wheelbarrow load of money?
Mike, condo must seem much larger now.

I seem to have skipped out for a couple of days here…
Saturday went to Nutcracker in an old theatre in Melrose. DGD, 9, was a mouse this year. Fabulous production, with some pro dancers here and there. Went to their house afterwards and had some eats; been awhile since I visited them, a nice day overall. Checked their piano and it’s due for another tuning.
Steve, I, unfortunately, almost never clean my CPAP hose or mask. I change the mask cushion and filter every two weeks, and the hose every 3 months. The water chamber gets washed only now and then, and replaced at six months. All bad practices but I haven’t noticed any problems from it. Bill, They say if your nose is stuffy, a full face mask will work instead of a nasal mask or nasal pillows. I can’t seem to use a FFM. I don’t notice pain waking me up, but when I happen to take Tylenol for pain I notice that I sleep longer and more soundly than usual (just regular Tylenol, not PM).
Rained all day yesterday, but sun is out today. It’s Advent season— going to use the coming weeks to get remaining clutter under control, and make an effort to do a hike somewhere every day, short or long, unless of course it’s pouring rain. Heading out now for a trip to storage with my bicyle, and from there to a hiking trail.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Rita did not bring home a bunch of money. She did bring home a cold. I slept down the hall last night.
Lee, I have seen a lot of pretentious foodie types insisting on complex recipes and ingredients, when simple stuff tastes just as good, or better.
Since I am in nursing mode, today, I don't know what is on tap. I'll probably try to make Rita some arroz caldo. That's a chicken and rice soup, with garlic and ginger. Best cold medicine there is.0 -
Good Morning
Speaking of sleeping aches, I woke at 3:30 with a fairly stiff neck. Heating pad is working some of its magic on it before I do some gentle stretches. I am taking it easy today, so Heather and I can go see the Holiday Lights at Filoli Gardens, a fomal garden down on the SF Peninsula. I can have trouble spending to much time on my feet, especially doing too much walking. I am hoping frequent stopping to enjoy the views will keep things from tightening up.0
