    • Up way too early to trek to the DC office.
    • VA Appt today - dreading that because it will put me in so much traffic this afternoon getting home. Ugh.....

    • DMIL is still in hospital. DW is increasingly stressed with coordinating Medicare. If I see one more "Medicare Advantage" commercial - I'm liable to throw my shoe at the screen! What a joke!
    • There was a big calamity in the 'hood last night. Trench crews for security cameras busted the gas main that fed the community. The event closed down traffic in both directions and in/out of our enclave all day and into the wee hours.

    Yes, we are very smitten with DGS. Can't wait until they transfer to Colorado Fall 2024.

    Medicare red tape can be maddening. How is DMIL feeling?
    Poor Rita, hope it is not RSV. Is she vaccinated? I just updated my flu shot. Doc wants me to get second pneumonia vaccine, but did not recommend the RSV or the most recent COVID.
    So important that Ron has you assisting him as his advocate with medical stuff, Steph. People seem to get better attention if they have a family member that double checks the process.
    Loving the mild winter we are having so far. 20 yrs ago, I would have been disappointed, but I do not love the cold anymore.

    After a super muggy day yesterday it's a brisk 58 now. Going to be a lovely day. We will walk up to the grocery store for lunch supplies but not much else planned.

    Set up a contract with a car broker yesterday. Not sure they will save us much money but definitely the headache and time.

    Hope you survive the commute with minimal problems, Skip.

    I suspect Rita just has a bad cold but I need to administer a Covid test, to be safe. We get all the shots as soon as they are available. So, she has had RSV vaccine. I planned to run errands today - visiting the VA, doing some banking - but will stay home to tend to my patient. The weather is awful, anyway, with the heaviest rain in years. All the rivers are going to flood by tomorrow.

    I am managing an hour or two of shop time every day. That's good for my mental wellbeing, anyway.

    Every time I get a vaccine and yes, Ever SINCE TIME. I get all the side effects and itโ€™s awful.

    Girls night tonight. Woot

    Cookie exchange tomorrow. I made some last night and I spit mine out. Gary said that they tasted like kerosene. I threw them out. Now, I have to start all over. I threw away the lemon flavoring. Maybe it was bad? Everything else was new.

    What kind of car you getting Steph?

    Made a vegetable stew in the crockpot today that was excellent. Esp on a damp Cloudy work day.

    I need my shingles shot. I got a flu shot a couple weeks ago.
