    Good morning!

I got off to a busy start yesterday and never reported in. I think that I stayed up too late on Sunday night watching the Chiefs. They do not look like Super Bowl champions this year. I don't know if Taylor Swift is good or bad for the Chiefs, but her Swifties have brought a lot of new attention on the NFL. Either way, I'm happy if it works out for her and for Travis. I'm glad that the officiating team got suspended. Ugh, that was ugly! Is it OK to admit that I've started listening to some of her music? I also enjoy listening to the Kelce brothers New Heights podcast. They are funny, but there is a lot of cussing.

We have "the guy" coming to give us a quote this morning on removing the old insulation in the attic and putting in new, along with connecting the bathroom exhaust fans to either a roof vent or to a soffit vent.

One of the bosses at work says that we get a field trip this week to look at the new building.

Prayers continue for all of you. Special prayers for Bob and his wife.

    Have a great day!

    Happy belated Birthday, Bill!
"...lots of cussing." I may be guilty of that myself from time to time.
Yeah, I guess I should be happy for Travis and Taylor, but my fantasy team was really counting on KC being dominant again this year.
    How's Rita feeling?
Any updates on your lower lumbar issues, Dave?
    Bob?
Mike, you sound like you'd be happy in a wee cabin in the woods...any luck in your search for a new domicile?
    How are you doing, Sam?

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Morning,
Up at 5:30 take Pablo out he comes in sits next to me on sofa and sleeps. Jumps up at 6:45 when DW comes in room then goes to small hall and takes a dump two feet from pee pad.
Dropped heart monitor phone in puddle, was working last night; started vibrating this morning; now screen just blinks.
    Nothing planned for today.

    Mornin’

When the heart monitor just blinks… :#

I’m focusing now on just getting my place back in order, and will do some fixing up here and there—windows need replacing, WW carpet in bedroom, paint in the kitchen. Eventually will do some serious looking… a cabin in the woods would do me fine, though as the GK’s grow up there may be inlaw space opening up in my kids' houses, not a terrible option.

Nice hike yesterday, though it started raining 3/4 way through. Pine forest and mossy stream trails uphill to rocky cliffs, “Porcupine Ledge”, where it looks like there may be dens in the recesses, but didn’t see any critters. 3.5 miles and 400’ uphill and down. Lots of glacial boulders along the route.

    PT for hip today.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Listening to the rain pound down. We were forecast to get 3 inches of rain overnight ant through today. It sounds as though that was accurate. All the local rivers are going to flood.

Rita was feeling really bad, yesterday, with a temperature and a cough. I made some really good soup for supper, but she had no appetite. She went to bed at 8 last night and didn't stir when I sneaked into the master bath to put my hearing aids in the charger. Hope she is better today. I'll stay close to nurse her along - with a bit of shop time thrown in.

I have a surgical consult appointment in two weeks with a spine specialist.

    Good Morning

I barely slept last night. My neck and upper back were sore. Massage, Tens and an extra 1/2 dose of muscle relaxor finally got me 2 hours sleep. We went out last night to see the Christmas lights at a formal garden we enjoy. I may have over done it. I have my surgical consult today with the Ortho my pain Dr referred me to. I read the latest lumbar MRI report yesterday. There was some significant further deterioration so I am guessing it is time for surgical intervention. But it will have to wait its turn.
