Sam, I am a huge fan of Dr Ian Dunbar's puppy training techniques. Here is a free link to his puppy book.

Dog training today. Nice crisp sunny day.
Great to see you posting an update, Bob. Glad DW is healing up. Lidocaine patches work amazingly well in some cases.
Too funny about finding your brain, Sam. Hope it was a good scan. DW and I would like to be near our children, but not live with them.
Sounds like Rita is recovering. Hopefully she has been taking the soup you made her.

Good morning gentlemen.
Got to the VA medical center and things did not go smoothly. The doctor didn't put in the order for labs, so I had to walk to another building on the campus, wait for a nurse to put in the order, walk back to the first building, wait in line again, then finally do the tests. Now I wait to hear about results.
The rest of the day went similarly. I worked on two projects on the lathe and both ended up failures. You learn from your mistakes, so it wasn't wasted time.
Rita was a little better, but still feeling pretty bad. At least she no longer had a temperature. I am still in nursing mode.0 -
Mornin’ gentlemen. Remember Pearl Harbor...
Piano note reading class this morning.
Dave, hope Rita feels better again quick.
Didn’t get in a hike again yesterday. Resolutions seem to get lost in the forgettery.
I tell my grandkids, I was worried once when they had to x-ray my head, but they didn’t find anything.0 -
Good Morning
When the x-rayed my brain last year all I had similar thoughts
Rough night sleeping. My primary Dr put me on an Azithromycin 5 day pak. I called him about the ear ache and sore neck. He says both 'could' be from an infection, a cold etc. I see him next week for a physical. I will have a list for him. Either all the mouth breathing or some of the new meds are causing dry mouth. Yesterday I reduced the Belbuca to 1 film every a day. So far so good. I am feeling conflicted about all these meds I am on. My wife is making sure I get some exercise each day now. I would be lying if I said all this isn't beginning to get to me. I am leaning hard on God's goodness right now.0 -
Bill, in classes I always taught folks to breathe through the nose; filters air and gases as one exhales helps keep nostrils open. Also count to eight on inhale and twelve for exhale to increase capacity and oxygen levels.
MRI verified torn rotator cuff, insurance wants to see eight to ten weeks of physical therapy before considering surgery. Don't understand them wanting to spend $4,500 when justification for surgery is clear. Shoulder kept me awake most of night even with pain meds.
Thanks for link Lee. Trainer called a few minutes before due said she called into main job. Will try again Saturday.0 -
Good grief Dave how inexcusably wasting your time at the V.A. Hrmph! Hoping Rita keeps getting better little by little!!!
Oh goodness Bill! Hang in there. Hoping for some real relief soon!!
Yea Sam I couldn't agree more. Hard for me to understand insurance companies. I have tried different breathing techniques whilst climbing hills on my bike and don't see large differences between them.
Going up a "mineshaft" steep hill I absolutely need to be a mouth breather. just do.
Hang in there all!0
