Good morning BBB! As you sip your favorite morning brew and let its warmth embrace you, settle in, for it's time to gather and unite for our morning roll-call!

There is no higher religion than human service. To work for the common good is the greatest creed. - Woodrow Wilson

    Good morning.

I blew off the first of my holiday gatherings I was supposed to attend this week. I read the description more closely and realized parking would be a chore and that there was a cash bar. If I have to smile and nod at a bunch of people I don't care about, don't make it harder...

They think they've isolated DMIL's problem to her diabetes meds. They took her off them on Sunday and she ate all three meals yesterday without "incident." They're likely transferring her to a normal room today to see how things progress for a couple more days.

If this was the answer, then there will be a real C2J meeting with the doctors because apparently being a human Frosty machine is a known side effect of that med and it wasn't communicated to anyone. They just assumed that the chemo had wrecked her insides.

    G'Morning~

Long *kitten* day/night. Family and DMIL agreed to establish home hospice care - hopefully by the end of or beginning of next week. No significant improvements. DBIL leaves tomorrow so DW is a bit stressed - trying to help where possible - but inconsolable is the only way to describe. Ugh. I hate this is all happening over holiday.

Off this morning to attend dear friends funeral mass. Still shocked about that. 47 much too young!

Of course this sums up the past few months as BBB families have all experienced challenges:

    Have a great day!

    Good morning BBB friends.

It has certainly been a rough time for our little group. Prayers for us all.

Wish I could do more than send my love and prayers for you all !

C2J reference by Lou- I finally got it... coming to Jesus meeting

I sit for my dgs this later afternoon, He is 5-1/2 months old now. This photo is a couple days ago- babies and puppies, and kittens make everything better.

The Pabst mansion tour yesterday was nice. A gorgeous home built in 1890 for $250K, with unbelievable woodwork throughout and leaded glass. There wasn't a full stand behind wet bar, but definitely areas to serve libations.

Prayers for DMIL's and their families.
Doctors are practicians and pay too much attention big pharm and their incentives and do not question size of trials and/or outliers.
Mary, DGS is a cutie and growing fast; don't blink will be a teen before you know it.

    Good afternoon BBB Friends.
    • Our Emmaus reunion group meeting was cancelled this morning, so I got to sleep in and then enjoy coffee and chatter at our clubhouse.
    • I had to think for a moment too about the C2J reference, and from my Jewish friend.
    • I agree with babies and puppies Mary, but I draw the line there.
    • Your Pabst Mansion sounds similar to the Biltmore House in Asheville. Both built about the same time by very rich men.
    • DB sees the Dr. this morning hoping the biopsy reveals a different drug to combat the infection in his neck. If not some pretty radical surgery will be needed.

Hooray for the babies of BBB

Ron just got sent back for preOP for his colonoscopy and endoscopy. Not too concerned about this procedure but he has never been under anesthesia so hoping 8t womt make dizziness and brain fog worse.

His surgery center is right next to an Amish bakery so as soon as I see on the board he is in surgery I'm going to get a sweet treat and move the car around to the correct entrance.

Plus we bought a car today. Not sure when we will go get it. It's about an hour from here.

OK, the baby photos are great, but I want that sausage on a roll. Germany has the best street food in the world.

Only Steph would tell us she bought a car and not tell us what it is. 😎
