I think Mike said he would be back today.
Got called in yesterday to assist young doc. She was doing a tooth extraction on a very geriatric dog and the jaw fractured. She was panicking and did not know what to do, so it was just easier to go in and help repair the fracture than guide her over the phone. It was a kind of an " hold my beer!" situation, as I was in full dog training/upland hunting mode. All ended well. She was embarrassed, but I assured her that sometimes things do not go according to plan and I was glad to help (which I was).
How are ya feeling today after maybe overdoing it yesterday, Sam? Or was that the day before?
Great that you have some new cherry logs, Dave. LOL at 60lb ball of fur in your lap.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning!

Dave, it does sound like hard work getting the logs prepared, but once they are seasoned, think of the many hours of joy you will get turning your beautiful creations.

Sam, I'm glad to hear that you are getting more active. Did they ever figure out if you have anything between your ears or not?

Lee, that was kind of you. I often find myself in a mentoring position this late in my career. I sometimes think that if I had not been an accountant, I would have maybe enjoyed being a teacher.

I am so very glad that today is Friday.

Prayers for all. Have a great day!

Back from the retreat. Beautiful old place and gorgeous grounds. Walked around the lake there every day on a trail in the woods. Restful, but also lots of things to think about — ways to change my habits.

Heading off early this morning; I’ll check back and catch up on the last few days of postings here later to see what shenanigans have gone on while I was away…

Dentist almost broke my jaw once, pulling a stubborn tooth.

    Have a good day.

    Good morning gentlemen.

After spending the morning cutting up wood, Rita spent much of the afternoon stacking the cut rounds in the back corner of the yard. She might be sore today. Hope to get some more cutting done this afternoon.

I am sipping a little black coffee, this morning. Have to go to the Army hospital to have fasting labs done. I have other errands to run on post anyway. After getting blood drawn, I might go to breakfast somewhere.

    Good Morning,
They wanted me to sub today, energy level not there to stay awake seven and half hours.
    Mike, glad retreat was beneficial.
Rita sounds like a real trooper, since DMIL had gotten old have very little help in yard work.
Lee, you are so good and kind; doubt she would reciprocate but someone has to help youth coming on.
Steve, hope you have a great restful and full filled weekend.
    Bob, pray DW is healing.
Bill, you will find treatments will drain you; pace self and do not worry about what others believe or want you to do.
Hope all have a wonderful weekend.
Pablo woke me up at 4 this morning spitting up mucus, did go out to pee and poop, went back in crate till seven. Did not eat till after nine and then not all of food. Sleeping now. We were walking around neighborhood a couple times a day and nothing disturbed him, now if car or truck come through he goes running for house. Do not know what spurred this.

    Good Morning

Mike, how great to start your day by walking around the lake for some quiet time. I am glad you enjoyed it. Sam, I too am glad to hear about your increased activity levels. I trust they figured a few things out for you. Lee it was kind of you to bail out the young vet and encourage afterward. There is a dog that owes you some gratitude. Dang Dave, those are some fun logs you are cutting up.

Sleep is still a problem, but I slept in the recliner about half 3-4rs overall and then couldn't get back to sleep, then the sinuses clogged a bit and some nerve pain flared a bit. Finally rested a while and then did my morning stretches and mobility work, but I am rather tired. A few errands to run this morning and then continued progress in the living room. My neighbor had his handyman over yesterday so I asked him to stop in to look at a mystery very very slow leak under our 1st floor bathroom sink I couldn't sort out. He pointed out what he thought it might be, and asked me to conduct and experiment to narrow it down. He was right and I will call him back to repair since I can't bend under there. Didn't charge for the visit so I will just go with him. I will sound him out about other work that needs to be done before we finally sell this place.
