Good morning!
Bill, I'm very happy for you and the news that you received yesterday about the number of treatments. I am continuing to hold you in prayer.
Sam, I'm also remembering you and your health issues in prayer.
We have reached the more than busy stage at work. The owner wants me to have December financials to the bank next week, and I still don't have November finished. I'll find a way to make it work.
Have a great day!0 -
We are bracing for a possible 11-14” of snow this weekend. We’ll see. Then next week a rainstorm is forecasted, which will make a huge mess. Will get out the snowshoes for at least a couple of days anyway.
I did a 3-mile roundtrip hike, downhill though some pretty pine and hemlock forest to the Burnshirt R., which was running a bit high, and then back uphill 250’. Refreshing. Lodge meeting last night started with a “biggest loser” weigh-in. I chipped in, but there were some guys who have a LOT more weight to lose than I, including our pastor, so I won’t win anything, but it will be a motivator. There’s 2 prizes, one for most pounds, one for biggest % lost. We all weigh in again in 3 months at the meeting after Easter.
I heard last night that a friend fell down concrete stairs on New Years Eve, got a fractured skull, and now in ICU with bleeding in brain that won’t stop, and very out of it, although she's not in a coma. She’s 42, daughter of old friends. They lost another younger daughter to flu last year on Christmas, and then a son last January. I can’t even begin to grasp what they must be going through.0 -
Mornin' gents.
"owner wants me to have December financials to the bank next week, and I still don't have November finished"
Yikes. But I heard that accountants like pressure.
Congrats of being losers, Bill and Dave. The scale has not moved downward for me this week. I may have to bite the bullet and rejoin WW. Or maybe start taking Ozempic like Oprah (e_e)
Great news about number of visits, Bill. Are those weekly?
I'm guessing Pablito and Sam are best friends. Read an old Family Circus cartoon this morning..."I like dogs because they don't yell at your for doing something stupid, they do it with you!" Not that you would do any stupid or silly, Sam.
Sorry to hear about the oral surgery for the cyst, but glad they can do something for it.

Good morning gentlemen.
I committed to six months of WW online. I'm not 100% sold on the current WW program. The list of zero-point foods is really long. I have yet to come close to using all my daily points. But I am losing, and the structure (and financial commitment) are a great motivator.
Plumber coming this morning to remove old and install new kitchen faucet. This is the first time I have hired a guy to do a job I know I could do myself, but just don't want to. Must be getting old.
I see on the news that those of you in New England can expect the biggest snowfall in two years. Stay safe.0 -
Good Morning
I did a 10 month WW commitment for $100. It provides enough structure combined with the things I learned in the past while on WW. The new plans are more like the old Core program. Its still on you to focus on portions size, eat when hungry and not from emotions or habit, etc. Zero point foods are not free food. Just a healthy base to build meals around using reasonable portions. So far it it is just what I needed. The new morning routine is going to require more effort to accomplish things during the day. I need to find a new rhythm to the day so I still get some things done. I did manage to spend some time working on a new worship tune on the ole dulcimer. For those in the Northeast, be safe with the storm blowing through.0 -
Good Morning,
Doing stupid stuff is what keeps life interesting and DW on her toes.
Expanding company, can understand bank wanting financials, needs cashflow.
These past few months have taught me I cannot do lots of stuff I use to do, but it is hard to find a guy to do stuff. Either pay three times normal price or get DS or DSIL to do. In neighborhood ministries they use me to tell others what or how to do where I just did what needed to be done before.
