10 degrees and sump pump is still running from rain last week.
Best of luck today, Dave. I know you probably are already at the surgery center as I type this. Thinking of you, buddy.
Onward and downward ;-)0 -
Hope Dave’s back gets a new lease on life from the surgeons today.
Poor Pablo the puppy… and Sam the cleanup man.
15° this morning, only going to 22° this afternoon. Snow yesterday only amounted to 3" with an icy crust on top.
DD in Bali broke her foot the other day in a motor scooter accident. Laid up with a boot and crutches.
Chords class again today; learned Sinatra’s “Summer Wind”. These classes are fun, but taking way too much of my time.
Bill, good wishes for your treatments.
Steve, stay warm!0 -
Good Morning
Praying for Dave as he is waiting for to be brought into the procedure room so he can get back out on the trail where he belongs.
Still struggling with my reaggregated shoulder. Took an extra Tramadol yesterday mid morning. Takes the edge off but it still is sore. I need Heather to help me get the TENS pads on back their and will do a session with ice when I get home. Cold drizzly day yesterday combined with dry rot repair going on in the complex kept us inside yesterday after I got home. Most of the afternoon we had a guy on an extension ladder in front of our door as they replaced some of the siding and trim. They still have some to finish. The hammering is so "soothing".0 -
Good Morning,
17 this morning when I took Pablo out, stools still very soupy, took shovel out after froze and collected.
He has not eaten this morning, maybe because I sprinkled probiotics over food out of capsule.
Made trip to dumpster down the road, cat that stays down there sitting on top of old tire watching.
Dave should be in surgery now, prayers go out for complete healing,
Bill, I hear positive and negative viewpoints on hormone therapy, I turned down 20 years ago, but each must make their own decision.
Sorry about DD's foot Mike, at least it was only a broken foot.
I enjoy hearing hammering, but most use air guns now.
Lee, is kitty still improving? 10 degrees and sump pump still running, you must have a great skating rink out in yard.0 -
Yup best of luck Dave for sure. We dipped into 16 deg yesterday briefly and had a "silver thaw" freezing rain later in the afternoon. Luckily only about 1/4" range at our house and we have mostly underground utilities in our local neighborhood. Plenty of down trees not that far away and someone hired a roofing outfit from Utah to come out somehow with a crane and remove tree from their roof and put a tarp patch over the hole etc. They are doing other folks locally too since local arborists and roofers are totally swamped.
I have a Gleason score that is "elevated moderate" because of the cellular architecture. So at the higher end of moderate. My score is Gleason of 7 (but it is (4+3) instead of (3+4) . The "standard" is to do hormone therapy for Gleason7 (4+3) but I too am doubting it as a benefit right now for me. Hormone therapy can also just be started later too if desired. Like Sam and others I view it as a personal decision.
I was suppose to meet with Radiation guy yesterday but rescheduled due to timing of the ice storm. I live on an unplowed hill with thick packed snow/icy stuff that is very iffy before the freezing rain anyway.
Less stressful to reschedule it.
So sorry about your daughter's foot Mike. yikes.
Praying also for relief in your shoulder Bill.
It is now up to 32degrees but will be a very slow melt indeed. about 2" of frozen ice/snow on streets etc.
My DD is celebrating her birthday today! She is a teacher and school was cancelled today due to extreme weather. She joking says yup they are celebrating her B-day and giving everyone else the day off too. Happy dance for her. Unlike some friends she has not lost power either.0 -
Good afternoon gentlemen.
I am home, medicated, and fending off Sassy's attention. She wants to help and her curer for anything that ails you is to climb on your lap and give you a big, wet kiss.
Everything seemed to go as planned. I haven't spoken to my surgeon. He spent a few minutes with me this morning and I didn't see him again. I'll have a follow-up with him in 10 days, or so. Pain isn't too bad, though they tell me it will be worse tomorrow. Thanks for all the positive thoughts.0
