    Mornin’ gents.

4º this morning. After church will check local pond or two for fishing activity and drill a small test hole for ice thickness if it looks okay. Tomorrow will be out fishing, if all looks good. Need to print up a 2024 Mass. fishing liciense...

Saw DGS Friday night, back safe from the Ecuador drug wars. He asked me about my ancestors, and said he wants to come visit some time to go into more depth. DB has created a family tree online that has 2,258 people on it, so will be interesting conversation with DGS.

At church this morning I’ll be praying for the pain and surgery and treatments folks are enduring.

    Pablo’s a cutie!

    Good morning!

Frankie first let me sleep until 5:30. After I took her outside, I went back and laid in bed for another hour. I am fighting a cold. I feel like not doing much of anything. Of course, I feel like there is a ton to be done.

I have never been ice fishing. I don't think that it sounds real fun to me, but I'm glad that you enjoy it, Mike.

I would like to go out hiking when I feel better again. We are supposed to be starting out of our deep freeze today. The next 7-10 days show in the low to mid 30s. It was 8 when I took Frankie out this morning. It is 14.2 now.

Dave, I'm glad that you are doing better and getting off they oxy.

Prayers continue for all of you.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin ' gents

Pablo sounds like he is getting there. Good job Sam.
Not sure what it was this morning, it may have rivaled Mike's 4°. Heated kennels weren't quite warm enough for the girls to stay out. DW made me keep them in the utility room. Somehow, the cat gets the run of the house and comes and goes when she pleases (when he leg weren't broke), but my girls only get to come in at night. Hrumph.
Anyway, taking them to a nearby ice fishing derby. I'm not fishing. Just watching.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Had a good night's sleep last night. Best since my surgery. My incision still hurts, but I have lost the general feeling of being ill that I had. Sassy woke me at 6, because she figures that's late enough for anyone to sleep.

No church for me, today. Doctor says I can't drive for two weeks. I have no idea why. But I will be a good soldier and follow orders.

Sorry your girls don't have the run of the place. When I am home Sassy is rarely more than five feet from me. I love that devotion and constancy. She is snoozing right at my elbow, draped over the arms of our two recliners, now.

    Good Morning

I almost forget to check in. Heather is under the weather upstairs with some stomach problems. So I am keeping close. I was making one of her favorites, Oven Roasted Chicken Shawarma tonight but will hold off till she is able to enjoy it. It is a bit involved anyway. Already banged on the dulcimer and will do some more after I do some outdoor work before the rain returns. I hope to sneak in a walk in between.
