typing one hand while balancing a bowl of oatmeal on my lap.

    OK, that’s better...

Heard DD in Bali— with broken foot— is somehow coming home to live with my EX. Long flight on crutches. Meanwhile, DS, who has been living in a dilapidated hovel of a friend’s basement, has to move out and is also moving in with my EX. EX called and now wants me to help move furniture...

Portable workbench/vise arrived yesterday, and spent evening assembling. Great product, will eliminate the nonsense of doing woodworking in my dining room and all the mess afterwards. Can use on my balcony and fold up to put in corner. Sturdy, versatile and $49. Waiting now for a rip-fence I ordered for the new circular saw so I can do a few more projects.

5”-10” of snow expected tomorrow. Local flooding still going on, especially in RI near where DS John lives, but they’re fine.

Have a good day, men. Onward and downward. :)

    Good morning!

Mike, you are busy! I would imagine that beats sitting in a chair stuck to a screen all day.

I have noticed on the MFP tracking report that my weight has now been steady or slightly climbing for about six months now. Time to get out of the funk and get heading downwards again.

Weather dudes say that this has been one of the top 10 coldest and cloudiest (sunless) Januarys on record.

I have not been in a HOA since 1995 and I'm more than OK with that.

Frankie let me sleep until 6:00 this morning. Now the coffee is done. Woot!

Prayers continue for all of you and your health.

Onward and downward! Have a great day!

    Goodmorning gentlemen.

Mike, I have had a B&D Workmate for 35 years. It's an old model, heavier than they make now. I bolted a piece of 2X2 to some plywood so it could be clamped to the top and used that as my work bench for more than 20 years. I finally build myself a real - and very heavy - workbench, but the workmate is still used to hold large chunks of wood while I *kitten* them to usable size and shape with my electric chainsaw.

I owe you a bid thanks, Lee. After your post, I walked to a nearby produce market and brought home a sweet potato. A baked sweet potato with 1 tsp of butter was only 4 points. That with a nice salad and 3 oz. of chicken was a nice supper.

Steady rain, today. But I still plan to put on my rain gear and go for a walk. While wet, it is unseasonably warm. The high today should be 59 and tomorrow up to 64. That's more like April than January.

    Good Morning

Once we get settled I hope to get another workmate table. I had one that was my FIL’s but it was old and needed alot of work and it was not light.

Had a tough day pain wise yesterday despite taking a fourth Tramadol and was feeling pretty low energy so I took it easy and streamed some of the Australian Open matches. I was resting after my dinner and took a 2 hour unplanned nap. Not quite the day I planned. Heather is away with her sister so I am on my own. Today I plan on getting my exercise, stretching & a walk, since pain levels are back down. Lots of chores await me as well.

Oh my Mike some drama there?? Sorry about your DD's foot and your son's circumstances. YIKES maybe up to 10" of snow tomorrow in your neck of the woods.

We have one local river (actually called the Pudding River) that is right at flood stage and could have some minor flooding the next day or two. I am thinking it is something like 30 miles south of Portland and not in much of a populated area either.
Yeah totally agree about the HOA thing. they do silly things like measure the height of a piece of sculpture in someones yard.
Really a great piece of granite or marble carved much like a very abstract Henry Moore piece of vague rounded shapes. The person who lives there is an artist and a sculptor herself.
I have gained about 4 pounds from the low point of my latest health endeavors and eye surgeries. Having said that it seems to be rather stable right now in what I have thought of as my sweet spot.

Like Dave it is rainy here too. So far about 1.25" and climbing since yesterday but unseasonably warm, It could be over 60 degrees here too on Sunday. Kinda wish I had my peas planted for that.

Oh Bill so sorry about your pain requiring Tramadol. Hope you do well with stretching and a walk today. I plan on getting out in a couple of hours when the rain is suppose to let up.

Wow Steve Frankie let ya sleep on!! What a treat "good doggie".
I too have recorded some of the Australian Open and watched some of it.
Hang in there with your health and pain issues Guys!

    Good Afternoon,
Rainey day in Georgia, 67 now; yesterday was sunny and 72, rain ends early morning and temps drop to low 60's then 50's through Thursday, nights in low 30's. Arthur does not like wet nor cold.
DS helped get all materials needed for fence this morning, was able to put in garage and squeeze car in, about 3 inches left on passenger side.
Glad you are doing better Dave.
Prayers continue for Bill and Bob.
    Congrats to losers! ! !
Steve glad you got a little rest.
Lee, working or playing with girls?
