Doing a hike in the snow today, with the “Vintage Vagabonds” hiking group. Nearby, down the road in the state park. It snowed all day yesterday but looks like only a few inches piled up, probably some rain mixed in with it.

Otherwise catching up on laundry and some more cleanup here in my place, and end of month bill-paying (I don’t miss the monthly closing I did at work for 15 years at the state hospital).

Time to start breakfast and get the coffee going...

    Mornin' gents

Got a total of 3" of very soggy snow accumulation. Still snowing a little. Pools of water in yard and sump pump is running like it is the spring thaw.
Last night I roasted butternut squash chunks with quartered onion tossed with olive oil, garlic powder, salt/pepper, and some red pepper flakes. So good. I do not understand why I needed to go back to WW to remember how good and how easy roasting low point and zero point foods are. Obviously had to charge myself for the olive oil, but the rest was zero.
I have come to realize that I was killing my weight loss attempts with cheese. I was eating way too much of that fatty goodness.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

I am happy for the Chiefs and for the Hunt family. The Chiefs have been on quite a run with Mahomes and crew.

I'm not sure if I will re-up with WW or not. I know what to do, I just need to do it. I've been working with my counselor on stress eating and food shaming.

It was sunny and in the 40s yesterday. I took Frankie for a walk in the cemetery and it was very nice.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning,
It has made it up to 40 now since sun has been up for an hour, wind still very cold.
    Off to breakfast with ROMEO's

    Good morning gentlemen.

I made bean soup, last night, with canned navy beans, a carrot some onion and some cooked chicken breast. I little chicken soup base, salt and pepper. Tasty and zero points, too. Leftovers for lunch today. We were all successes in the past. I think signing up for WW and publicly acknowledging same is the nudge needed to stay on track. Seems that way for me, anyway.

Another warm day, today, with a high around 62. Should be mostly dry, too. I imagine Rita will be working outside. I'll walk to the produce market again. No butternut for me, though. I have disliked winter squash since I was a kid and my mom fed it to us constantly. I'll go for a few sweet potatoes, though.

I pulled for the Chiefs and Lions, yesterday. No Seahawk fan can ever root for the 49ers. I'll be hoping the Chiefs win in two weeks.

    Good Morning

We had a nice day in the city joining my son to celebrate his Bday at a German restaurant. I limited myself to a smoked trout salad and its accompanying Potato Pancake. I parked about a block and a half away down a steep hill. Its been a while since I hiked up anything that steep but with a brief rest I made it pain free. We hardly ever go into SF anymore so I loved being back. We drove my son home so he could head over to join the crowd at a local sports bar for the Niner's game. I don't follow football anymore but like Dave I do have some prejudices. I will never root for the the sea sparrows from the PNW but I believe they were all sitting home watching football this weekend. Restarted my tracking, etc on WW again to get back moving forward.

No snow here in PDX region. 63 deg at my house sunday. YIKES and a low was about 55deg Sat nite (unheard of).
Ah Lee I love butternut squash and if it is ripe enough don't even use butter or brown sugar on it.
My wife's BFF has a daughter near San Francisco and a brother in Kansas City area so she has a friendly bet going on and it's almost a win-win situation for her. Honestly both teams had a difficult time getting to the big dance this year for sure.
BBL off to zoom yoga now.
