    • Tired this morning, but its my Friday. Have tomorrow off and Monday is a Holiday.....so nice long weekend to relax and watch some Nascar Racing! Daytona 500 is this Sunday!
    • Interview went well. I "think" I nailed it. Talked to guy that left that job. He warned "don't take it!"
    • Lots to catch up on and I'm not feeling it. Back feels like *kitten* shots were a joke. The doc "....sorry, I went to high, lets try again. sorry, that one is too low, lets try that again" I almost said something VERY rude and crude.
    • Hope you are improving w/ back, Dennis. GL with doc appt!
    • So is wedding in your hometown or somewhere else? Presume BBB has a reserved table in the back of hte house? We'll be on our best behavior B)

    That Tuesday that was seemingly bereft of meetings. Yeah... they just all seem to have migrated to today. 🙄

    Good morning BBB friends.

    I was talking to my DS the other day, about meetings. He is no longer the new young guy at his firm. He is now a senior engineer (how did that happen? Oh wait, he's 35) and his typical day includes three or four meetings, each lasting an hour or more. Makes it difficult to do the actual engineering he is trained for.

    That's tough, Skip.

    We woke to two inches of snow. That wasn't supposed to happen. At least it won't last. It should rain this afternoon.

    We are settled in to our cabin in the woods. It's much higher up a mountain road than expected. Happy we have a subaru.

    Out to explore the nearby towns and get a few groceries.

    • I refer to some of those small mountain roads as goat trails.
    • Good luck with the new job process Skip. I would imagine any upper-level job at DHS is 'interesting' these days.
    • New lady at church is attempting to get team leaders to do some form of formal goal setting. Yeah, right. I hated that in the corporate world. I'm not doing that with my volunteer duties.
    • Dr. appt. this afternoon. Hopefully I'll get some kind of timeline on recovery.

    I got a sleeping little dgs on my lap. A lap top nexted to me,And a doodle at my feet. Life is good. Working remote remotely at their place today. Momma is at office all day. Already put in some time at my place 5am to 9a before I headed over. When ya get up with the chickens, its easy to accomplish.

    My ds1 and ds2 deal with meetings all day too. How does any one get anything done? I'll never know.

    Glad your settling in Steph. You should write a book!

    Good Afternoon,
    Started day with Emmaus breakfast, then rehabilitation.
    Then took Pablo for over a 3-mile walk.
    Beginning to think doctors do not listen nor care what patients say.
    Beautiful sunny day.

    Got my 2" folder of all my tax info, organized by category and paperclipped for ease......

    Me: "Hey, when is a good time to drop off folder for tax filing?"

    TaxGuy: "....Ha! We are in Malibu this week sufing. Does next week work??"
