    Good morning BBB friends.

We liked the young doctor Rita saw, yesterday. She wrote a prescription for a drug to prevent migraines. Now we have to see whether Rita can tolerate any side effects. Have to go back to the hospital again today, to pick up other prescription renewals, and for Rita to get X-rays of a bad elbow.

My car is in bad need of a washing, too, but I am forbidden to pick up more than 10 lbs. and a bucket of water weighs more than that. I haven't been through a car wash in 30 years, and I'm not even sure how they operate anymore. Guess I'll need to figure it out.

    Good morning BBB Friends
    • Sophia (CR-V) got a bath yesterday. We have a nice car wash close to the 'hood. Friend rode along and did the vacuuming for me. We rewarded ourselves with a trip to DQ afterwards.
    • My live-in tax preparer has finished our taxes, but we are in no hurry to file as I need to write a check. It's not too bad considering I did some Roth conversions last year. I'm trying to minimize the pain when the time comes, and I need to do RMDs.
    • Let's hope the new prescription eliminates the migraines for Rita. They are no fun.
    • Mary, without being able to ride the new bike it is difficult to get a vibe for her name. Hannah is the leading option right now.

    Good Morning,
We will be making a Costco run today and I guess a brief visit with DMIL.
Hope meds help Rita without side effects.
Skip, enjoy each and every day; if one has to pay taxes that means they had income; in my book that is good.
We purchase yearly car washes and can run car through car wash daily, but our unit is shut down for upgrades.
Beautiful day here after morning rain, should get to mid 60's

TGIF I'm busy in the office today. Caught up now. Started at 6am.

Baking some sweet potato halves for lunch 400F 30min. Delish

    We electronically tax filed last
night. Refunds coming back from fed and state both. Odd, as not much changed on our end from 2022. Ther than I max out on my Roth contribution in 2023. I'll take less tax owed!

We Started watching Lawman Bass Reeves last night. Probably catch some more of it later tonight.

59F outside here yesterday but temps are falling fast and may get half inch of snow tonight. All the snow here is gone. We are wayyyy below average snow fall this winter.

DH says the lake propertys are in hibernation at least to mid April... hmmmm we'll see.

Are Friday fish frys a big thing in your Area? Are here. Especially during lent. I don't enjoy the wait or the fried foods much anymore. We are having grilled kicking spiced chicken breast, sweet potatoes and a salad.

    Have a wonderful Friday BBB

Mary, our local Catholic Church has fish fries during Lent but has baked fish as an option.

    Menu
Fried or baked fish will be served with side items โ€“ French fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, green beans, mac and cheese, cookies, and beverages.

    Afternoon BBB

Luv me a good fish fry
Had two slices of cheese pizza for lunch and WW charged me 18 points. (((sigh)))
Funny youare doing the roasted sweet potato halves. It is what I had last night. The recipe I used said to steam after forking skin covered at 400 for 20 minutes, pull out and let cool on cutting board befor slicing in half, meanwhile put cast iron skillet dry back into 400 degree oven to preheat for 20 minutes. The add butter to pan (I used olive oil) and place halves cut side down and roast for another 20-30 minutes.

Same situation with me and my Mary, Lou. Seems it is me that needs to prove that I haven't forgotten the date and provide generous gifts of appreciation, not her.
BTW, the roasted sweet potatoes were pretty amazing done as I stated above, but also wedges seasoned and roasted with a maple and cayenne dipping sauce is pretty amazing too.

We have a fish fry at tre Catholic Church just blocks away.

Still havenโ€™t caught a Weimaraner in a mouse trap.

Did the tax drop off and got the return. For the first time in forever a small return coming this way and not owing. Still quarterly estimate did not go down. Err. I need to cook the books better. Ha ha.
