    • Up early (didn't sleep well) to catch Uber to DC for neuro/ortho meeting on "plan of action"
    • I hate driving DC so figured it was cheaper to sit in back and work; no tolls; no parking; no potholes; lower stress!
    • Back into DC tonight for Capitals hockey game. Me and the boys are taking a friend who lost his wife recently.
    • DMIL is getting weaker; eating less; DW is so tired and exhausted. Ugh.......
    • Who did you see in Chicago? I bought us front row seats for Leanne Morgan in Baltimore (May) as a Christmas present. She seems pretty funny on the YouTube snippets we've watched.

    Cheers,
    Skipper

    Mornin' BBB

What a nice gesture that was for them to cover your tab, Mary. There may be hope for us yet.
Smart move to Uber, Skip. What is/are the Capitals? I am like Dennis, I only know football and baseball. Hope you have a great time. I have not heard of Leanne Morgan.
    Off to work.

    Good morning.

    Huzzah for pain-free walking, Dave!

What a kind act that was, Mary.

It takes a while to get to where DMIL is now, Skip. But then it feels like the descent on a roller coaster. ((Hugs)) for DW.

The retreat center was nice. We went canoeing there, but otherwise spent a lot of time catching up on sleep. So of course, I was up at 4 this morning.

    Good Morning,
    Had a very busy weekend.
Day starting out sunny in 40's rising into low 70's.
Yea to pain free walking, hope to be there one day.
It is great when someone picks up tap for table, proves we still have folks that care in world and wants to help others.
Hospice helps so many but there is still lots of stress on families and friends. Lady down street is going to home that DMIL is at once she finishes rehab where she fell and broke leg. Hopefully will help each of them.
Skip, hope they come up with plan that really works.
Hope you don't totally burnout before end of day Lou.

    Morning BBB

Still so surprised and thankful about last night's stranger generosity! Heart warming!

T & Ps for your families navigating at home hospice. My heart goes out folks going thru this. Hardest thing I ever did. Taking care of my Mom with lung cancer then a stroke, at her home for 5 months . Doc says that likely brought on my Graves Disease (under laying stress). At the time I just did it and kept doing what I had to do. Realized I was exhausted,, but you just keep going...
After she passed I was so touch my the entire hospice team and what they helped us with, I was training with the hospice company I used to be a respite care volunteer. Then covid19 hit and the program was cancelled. It would have involved sitting with patients for an hour or 2 so caregivers could leave and get errands done. Or just take a break from it all for a bit etc. Now my spare time is gramma nanny... which I Love!

Temps into upper 50s today. Looks like a storm coming thru Kelly's area from the west and headed NE. Stay safe!

Good to hear Daves back is better. Now to get Dennis and Skip on that page Too!

Good dmil may have a friend to visit with at her senior home, Sam

    When you retiring Doc Lee?

Steph, all good at this destination? Ron doing Ok?

    Be well BBB

    Good morning BBB friends.

    Good luck, today, Skip.

Wonderful to receive the unexpected generosity, Mary. Someone paid our restaurant bill for us last year. Like you, we gave our server a very large tip - paying it forward as we could.

Have to go struggle through the pharmacy wait at the Army medical center, this morning. We could just have them mail us our prescriptions, but then there is a co-pay, and we are pretty cheap.

Just finished meeting with both the Neuro and Ortho docs. The plan isn't as complicated as we thought a few weeks ago, but it's still pretty involved requiring two surgeries: #1. to remove a compressed/shattered cage (pic) and #2 to fuse L2/L3, and put in a new rod assembly.

I like the Neuro doc. He's pretty optimistic. The Ortho guy - his bedside manner sucks but he's revered by everyone in reviews as being "the guy!"

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • It's Monday so I started my day with the ROMEO crew.
    • Amazing end to the NASCAR race in Atlanta yesterday. Three cars in a photo finish.
    • Sounds promising Skip. Let's hope it all works out. Prayers for Carrie and DMIL.
    • I'm feeling better each day. Looking forward and nervous about appointment Friday with the Orthopedic Dr.
    • Uplifting story Mary. Interestingly at breakfast this morning someone getting ready for a trip to FL for their aunts 100th birthday.

Dr Dinwiddie isn't planning on retiring unless physically or mentally unable to practice. But I got a couple more years before I can go part time.
