    • Date assigned: March 20th. Not idea, but soonest I could arrange both surgeons' schedules. Ugh. Disrupts a planned trip from DF; and worries me about DW taking care of DMIL.
    • Hard to believe we are coming into March already!
    • I'm a believer that those $49 are too good to be true. They'll hit you for a charge for putting your feet on the floor and breathing. Not sure how regulatory agencies allow Spirit and Allegiant type carriers!
    • Visit w/ PCP today to do EKG, x-rays, and labs for pre-op clearance.
    • C'mon, weekend!

    Mornin' BBB

Phone is already blowing up about work. (((SIGH)))
Fingers crossed that it all works out, Skip.
$49 for a short hop would probably be OK, but they might charge for the use of the facilities.

    Good morning.

Last night around midnight, I got up to pee. Was doing my thing when Cecilia starts shuffling to the bathroom. I said "I'm here. Don't freak out." She wears earplugs, didn't hear and walked right in. She freaked out. 🙄

I'm too old for all the rules that come with the Super cheap fares. I like to be able to pick a seat and not be charged for having a pack of Tic Tacs in my pocket as a carry on. Even when I was taking Allegiant to Louisville, I just took the package that made the $39 fare closer to $150.

    Good morning

Good you have a scheduled date Skip. If dmil is on hospice you can ask for more help with her.... no?

This cheap flight deal is on Frontier trying to add some promo "non stops" from here on their MKE outbounds.

I clicked into MFP BBB and put the phone to my ear. No one was there LOL. Wow

We got a dusting of snow so obviously the record made of 72F in Feb here yesterday didn't last long. 50 degrees colder this morning its 22F. That's crazy weird.

I'm still not finding a decent used RV. Market prices are nuts. May just go new lol.

Got a video of dgs 8mo. old at his first swim lesson. Kid is a little fish, so cute. Has his arms and feet going while mom is holding him on his belly, in the water. 😅

    Be well BBB

    Good morning BBB friends.

Really hope the surgeons get it right this time, Skip.

My mom did much better yesterday. With a knee brace on and some pain meds, she was able to get around the house and care for her basic needs. Still, my sister and I will talk about the future.

The only flights I have taken in the last 20 years have been to Vegas. The discount carriers treat you like dirt and charge extra for everything. They end up costing as much as the major airlines, with less convenience. I'll stay loyal to Alaska, thank you.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I got to sleep in this morning, and I loved it.
    • I'm sitting here snickering. Twenty years ago, I was a very frequent flyer, and I knew all about airlines, airports and airplanes. Now, somebody has to point me in the right direction. My attitude towards flying is grin and bear it.
    • Frontier is not bad Mary. I still say go for it.
    • Having a date for surgery means there is hope. You've got to take care of yourself Skip before you can take care of anyone else.
    • I hope your day settles down Doc Lee.

    Morning gang.

I have a story to tell.

We left Kentucky last Sunday and drove all the way to Port Huron Michigan. Stayed the night to cross into Canada the next morning. Our lovely airbnb host offered a noon check in so all was good.

Until we got to the border. Even though on the border patrol website it doesn't say i need to bring financial, insurance or itinerary information they wanted it. There was no cell phone reception or wifi there. They asked us a million questions, didn't believe we were deflecting to canada to steal jobs and accused us of lying about everything. They searched our car from top to bottom, held us for nearly 2 hours and offered to arrest us twice. Its a much longer story but you get the gist.

Needless to say we aren't in Canada. Airbnb ŵas fully paid for with no refund so we are out nearly $5000. I'll try calling today to see if anything can be done.

We are currently at mynsisters in Central Nebraska where it is 13 degrees. Our tentative plan is to get our bikes and drive to Pierto Peñasco Mexico crossing the border south of Phoenix. Hopefully we aren't flagged as deflectors. If so we will pivot again.

I didn't read back the last week so hopefully you are all well.

Oh wow Steph, glad you are safe at your sisters!

Canada was where I had trouble getting in on business. Before I had hearing aids. Couldn't hear the border agent and he got all impatient and peed off at me. Finally explained my deafness and asked if my travel companion could repeat to me what he was asking ... he had a million questions. Finally got thru

Bet its good to see your kin though!?

Good grief! Yet, anyone wanting to come in, walks, swims, teleports right on in...... I digress.

SO sorry you and Ron had to ensure this! It must have been maddening if not just personally hurtful! If I may suggest - you need to raise this issue with your home State Senator's office!

Canada takes border security seriously. What a novel idea.

I was always coached by my Canadian counterpart to say I was going for a meeting. I was NOT going to work. I typically had to repeat that two dozen times.

    Steph that’s just awful

    Yep. Ruby is quite smart.
