    Mornin' BBB

One of my favorite Twain quotes. Unfortunately, I have not heeded those words as often as maybe I should have.
May have had too much red wine last night at game dinner hosted by my hunt club. Feeling a wee bit fuzzy and dehydrated as I peer at the computer screen. Nothing strong coffee won't cure. Over 200 people attended. Most of the dishes were pretty good. I was a big fan of the wild boar lasagna. Bought $50 of raffle tickets and won nothing.

    G'Morning
    • We are already thinking about kitchen remodel.....we hate the appliances the builder installed and a MBA remodel (countertops and mirrors only. We'll see.
    • LMAO last night. We got out with another couple for HH and Apps. They don't make virgin drinks (DW doesn't drink). We pub crawled up and down the square - 4th place finally had blender and made her a frozen mango virgin daiquiri. I joked I felt I was 24 again, pub crawling from one bar to another. I'm afraid to look at my AMX this morning to see how much I paid.
    • DBIL/DSIL leave today. DMIL was happy they came. DSIL will come help out the week after surgery.
    • Showing my Dad's mustang today to a potential buyer. I want to get rid of this so I can replace that rented storage with another Vette!
    • $50 and zippo! That stinks!
    • Cute pupper!

    Good morning BBB friends.

Spent enough time in the shop, yesterday, to go start to finish on a 10-inch vase turned for English Laurel. It was a mostly dry piece of wood. Lots of cracks and some voids to deal with. I violated my 10-lbs. lifting limit but did so with great care.

Church this morning, then who knows what.

We need new kitchen appliances, too, but ours are just old. We've had the fridge for 30 years. For that matter, our small freezer, out in the garage, was purchased in 1989.

Hopefully a nap, I slept terrible over here. Baby girl needs to see us more. She is not so happy some of the time with us.

    Have a great day BBB

    Morning BBB

Ron and I drove to the next town over to get gas and beer (Busch lite is pretty much our only option here) and stopped by a new distillery there for a tssting. He had some pretty interesting whiskey.

One sister is coming this afternoon but the other has a house full of illness so they are staying home. We will start heading to Mexico in the morning. Hope to make it to Santa Fe

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I've been churched. No SS today. We had a service fair trying to get new volunteers for different groups in the church. We really need some more help with the AV team.
    • Skip, sounds like your in-law's visit was appreciated by your DMIL and brought you and Carrie some together time outside the house.
    • Sounds like a long day on the road Steph. Drive safely.
    • We had a pantry remodel yesterday. Lots of rain lately which brought ants into the house. Yuk.
    • We are due for a new mattress. Any recommendations for a medium firm mattress? Current mattress is a Beautyrest Recharge World Class Phillipsburg Plush.

Been churched have another meeting at church this afternoon.
For a mattress I like Georgia Sleep Shop, down Seven Islands Road; they will custom build to your firmness, used in many upscale hotels, cheaper than most mattresses. That said Costco has been running deals.
    Safe travels Steph and Ron.
Glad you got a break Skip and Carrie.
Now you know why I do not play lottery and try and get out of buying raffle tickets.
