Hi All,
I have joined this group to try and gather opinions from various people for my A-Level course work. My project is based on Personal training the title being "To what extent is personal training effective in changing attitudes towards physical activity?"
If you have any opinions on this topic please feel free to comment so I can gather feedback. This would be really beneficial to me and as My Fitness Pal is a community of likeminded people across the globe it will give a broad and effective outcome.
Thanks in advance

I can only answer for myself. I have hired a personal trainer a couple of times.
I can certainly see the positive side of lifting weights. I really believe it helps your body and contributes to good health and longevity. I want to like it.
But i dont. I dont like the idea of going to the gym by myself, lifting weights by myself. Never did.
Having a trainer didn't change that.
Please become the trainer that changes my attitude.
On the other hand, I love fitness classes, mostly the dance kind. I've had instructors who were inspiring. I put on the music at home and dance away. Not in any disciplined, measured way, but more like I was dancing with a 4-year old. Second childhood? I also love yoga stretching at home. Not the hard stuff. That's for classes. Just easy feel-good stuff.0
