    G'Morning (early morning/late night)..
    • SGM, I'm so glad your DM had a great afternoon with your DS! It sounded very peaceful. Again, I'm so sorry for the loss! No matter how much you prepare for it, it must be very hard losing a parent.
    • Hope the move went well, Steph/Ron! I'm glad you found a great place with ExPats, too!
    • Surgery #1 was 3.5 hours. And started MUCH later than expected. Didn't get to my room until 10p. Still quite uncomfortable. They have to go back in on Saturday morning for Round #2, which should only take 1.5 hours or so.
    • DW said DMIL was pretty "mean" today which is hard on DW. Not really eating much more than a protein shake and sleeping tons. I pray she doesn't pass while I'm stuck down here. Ugh.
    • #Tucker got a pass to sleep in Master Bed tonight. DW is such a softie!
    • Will #CBL! TY, BBB family for the thoughts/prayers! This back is a mess!
    • Not a bad room - private suite in The Pavilion that matches most nice hotels!

    Good morning.

Glad you made it through Round 1, Skip. Sorry there needs to be a round 2. Are you able to send Carrie a care package?

It's a blessing that she had one more good day, Dave. I cling to those memories while dealing with the estate. My mom talking to random strangers at an ALS fundraiser; my dad teasing the nurses in Hospice..

I'm leading a development class for nonprofit young professionals tonight after work called "What The CFO Wants You To Know".

I've been told in advance not to say "Nonprofit work pays like *kitten*. Go get a real job.", so I'm not sure how I'm going to fill the hour. 🤔

    Good morning

Continued well wishes for success this and next round Skip. Thinking of Carrie and her Mom too. Rough times for sure.

Losing your Mom, no matter at what age and how peacefully is hard and full of emotions. Take care of yourself too, Dave.

Rain and wind has moved in here and its expected to remain rainy all day.

Going on 2 weeks with no access to my server in FL. I really am disgusted and annoyed with not being able to connect and do my job the way I should be able to. I also lost yesterday, an easy parts order with $5000 profit potential, because they don't keep my inventory stocked. Too cheap to invest in inventory that has a 20 week lead time to us. Too cheap to use updated software, to cloud, for the computer operating sys software. i wish I could Retire! 5 years yet, uugghh.

I need to hit the lotto win. I need to play to win, I'd guess :)

    Be well BBB

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • That's quite a hotel hospital room Skip. One down and one to go. You'll get there. A friend at church is doing the same back-to-back, back surgeries next week. Prayers continue for Carrie and her Mom.
    • It sounds like your Mom had a nice day before she passed, Dave. Good memories for your DS.
    • So Lou, you can complement them on their commitment to others, not mentioning it is at their own expense. Thank God there are people like them.
    • It is tough working for someone like that Mary. Hang in there. Have I ever told you Kris worked for Gemaire, an HVAC distributor when we lived in FL?
    • I am taking a 4 wheeled vehicle to one of our favorite BBQ places this afternoon. I hope they don't laugh at me.

    Good morning BBB friends.

That's the snazziest hospital room I have seen, Skip. Sorry it's necessary.

We'll be aiming for our normal routine, today. We have banking and other errands to do. The weather should be very springlike, warm and sunny.

My sister and I decided that I will turn an urn for mom's ashes, so I need to start planning the design.

Lou, sounds like SXSW is becoming quite a political show. Bands backing out because the US Army is a sponsor. Huh?

    Morning BBB

Glad to hear from you Skip. Did you know going in this would be a 2 part surgery?

Our new condo is fantastic. I few too many decorations but lots of big empty closets so I will strategically remove some. The ceilings are tall, rooms large and the living room has one whole wall of florr to ceiling windows.

We ate a super late lunch at the resort next-door. Pricy drinks but the food was reasonable and good. Today will be a grocery store stock up day.

Sorry for you work woes Mary.

    Afternoon BBB

Mid morning housecall for a geriatric field trial dog. Did a little surgery to remove a gingival mass in his mouth.
Very arthritic dog. I think I convinced the owner he needs some meds to treat his arthritis pain.
Great to have you start us off this morning, Skip. I wasn't aware that it was a 2 fer either. Hope round 2 goes as well. VERY nice room.
    (((Mary))) I feel your pain.
Maybe Sam will loan you TOAD, Dennis.
Going to meet my DSIL's husband for an afternoon of shooting over his dogs. What do you call the spouse of an in-law? DBIL once removed?

    BBB OP ;-)

Yes, Part One: removal of cracked spacer and plate. Part Two is bone graft from hip to repack area above and below for fusion from T-12-S1 (sometime Saturday). Part Two was supposed to be today - but they want some of the swelling to go down beforehand.

Coworker knows my penchant for SBUX and surprised me this morning with some Nectar of the Gods! Good thing, as it hopefully will counteract the side effects of the narcotic pain med

    Good Afternoon,
Emmaus breakfast this morning. Then took Pablo for a 3.2 mile walk.
Dennis is welcome to take Toad anytime, but I believe his concern is bumps bounce and jarring.
Prayers continue for Dave and family,
Skip, hope they get everything right Saturday for a pain free life.
