    Mornin' BBB

Hoping Skip is getting another 12 hr nap.
Yankees are on a roll on the road. Hope they can stay healthy.
Good job keeping an eye on the budget, Steph. Sounds idyllic down there.
Are you ready to put on your leathers yet, Dennis? We saw a lot of bikers on the road with the beautiful weather on Sunday.
We walked NYC a bit on Sunday before and after brunch out and chanced onto the Easter Parade on 5th. It was bizarre and I was uncomfortable walking through the crowds. All I could think of was that I was in the middle of a soft target, is this the times we live in? Or am I just enochlophobic? I definitely kept checking my pockets.
Kelly, I am sure you will look fab.
Laddy is 8 months old today and took his first steps this past weekend and has two teeth.

    Good morning.

    First steps already, Lee? Wow!

I don't like large crowds for the same reason. During South By Southwest, I felt uneasy walking around the theater area for the same reason. If some jerk wanted to make a statement in Austin, that'd be the place to do it. I can't imagine how uneasy I'd feel at something like the Super Bowl.

    G'Morning

Opening Day at Nat's Park was a bust. But so much fun to hang with great friends and enjoy some great food/libations. Definitely overdid it (back was quite sore by the end of the day). But, the box suite seats do help.

Erikka is our Suite Captain and makes sure to keep our drinks cold and flowing. They do an awesome job of taking care of their clients!

Sitting in parking lot on this wet, rainy dreary morning ready to get these damn staples out. Didn't sleep a wink last night (worried I'd oversleep)! Ugh.

DN came and spent day with DW. They got ALOT done with dmil clothes so a few treks to goodwill is in the future. I'm VERY impressed with how DW is doing. Perhaps auto-pilot, but nonetheless. VERY much looking forward to taking her to Estes Park CO (where we honeymooned and renewed vows on our 20th Anniversary) at the end of the month. A long weekend away will be just what the doctor ordered!

Hard to believe Laddy is already "mobile"......he'll be asking PopPop for keys to the car before you know it!

How are the final wire wedding plans coming?

SGM - presume you are doing well and relatively pain free?

Now, I shift my attention to make DW get in for her screenings. Her mother's "secrets" have me worried and I've been persistent to the point of demanding that she get these appts scheduled.

Should get Vette back from ceramic coating later this week. Can't wait. Don't think I'm quite able to get in/out yet (comfortably) - but.......

Have a great day, BBB! And I (we) don't say it enough to one another.....SO VERY grateful to start my day with each of you! LOVE our supportive group who demonstrate empathy and charisma! You are all very special!

    ~Cheers,
    Skipper

    Good morning

I feel the same gratefullness about all of you as well! Like a band of family all over the country that is so supportive of eachother! Thank you BBB

I've had these same feelings in big crowds too. Conversations I've had with ds1 and ds2 for years about them knowing where the exits are, before you "need to know"... especially with ds1 traveling so much to big venues and spending so much time on campuses, in stadiums and arenas, etc.
Sad truths to be practiced, know your surroundings and be mindful.

Opening day for the Brewers at 3pm here in MKE. Good thing there's a roof to play under here. Rain now and then snow coming to town this afternoon.

I taught dgs how to play catch and throw the ball back to me.
He gets so excited. Now he's pulling himself up and standing. He's still doing the army crawl, uses his right big toe to push off, and left elbow and arm to reach and pull, so funny and he gets around crazy fast. Bet he'll be an early walker too. He is loving his swimming lessons too. Showing up the toddlers in his class I hear! Lol. I'm a proud gma, I know!

Laddie is a handsome boy, Lee! Can't wait for you to see see him in person!

    Have a great day BBB!

    Good morning BBB friends.

Skip, I hope the staple removal went well. "Box seats" have certainly changed. My grandfather was well known in baseball circles in the St. Louis area and my grandmother could get invited to the Cardinals general manager's box in the 1980s. That was a group of seats right behind the home dugout, close to the action. What made it a "box" was the railing that separated it from the riffraff around it. You got your beer and hotdogs from the same vendors as everyone else.

I got a clean result from the biopsy from my oral surgery, yesterday. Still a little numbness in the roof of my mouth. Back is just about back to normal. The surgery helped sciatic pain on right side a lot, not so much on the left side. I can deal with one side, especially since the discomfort comes and goes over the course of a long walk or hike. It isn't constant.

Since we're talking grandkids. Mine finished their ski season last weekend. DS showed me video of them. The progress 8-year-old Andrew made this year is amazing. From a cautious snowplow (as we used to call it) to full out parallel turns and racing down the steepest mogul routes. He's faster than his 10-year-old big sister, now. They grow up so fast.

Thanks for the reminder Skip...I agree, I, so thankful for all of your sharing your corner of the world with me each day.

Dave congrats on a clean report.

No huge plans today. Need to get our drivers license figured out. Our mailbox company can do the noterization but not digitally. So that means getting mail which would be tricky in MX. So need to follow up with them to see if they can handle mailing all the pieces in or if we need to just find an online notary. We have a couple of month leeway as Ron's doesn't expire until June and mine in September but want them in our mailbox ready to be sent whenever anyone comes to visit so they can deliver.

    Good morning BBB family.
    • Yes, we are a family. I am blessed with multiple families.
    • I started the day with my Emmaus Brothers, another family.
    • I've never been a fan of big groups and that gets more pronounced with age. It's not so much a fear as impatience.
    • Lee, I am anxious to don the leathers and get back on the bike. Although by the time that happens it will be too warm for the leathers.
    • Yes, make sure Carrie gets all the needed tests. Early detection is key.
    • Nice to have a roof on the stadium in MKE. The Braves are in Chicago and snow is predicted for tomorrow. They are off to a good start. Yay!
    • Have I told you I have family living in Mexico, on the beach?

    Sam

SOOOOO glad you still do this!

DW was contacted to do a long term sub for a counselor who will miss last two months of this school to have a baby. I am hoping she does the sub. 1. She misses it. 2. She needs a good distraction.

This is 100% something I might consider doing when I retire from Fed Service. I'd love to teach High School History or something similar.
