    Good morning gentlemen.

It's been a while since I kicked us off. I am up early to get ready for another hike. This seems like old times. Heading over to the Olympics to hike up to a pretty lake. This is a really popular trail, but I'll have an early start and the showers in the area will keep many at home. I like a rainy forest, though.

I went way over on my daily points yesterday, so some good exercise is in order.

    Good Morning,
Congrats on getting back to hiking Dave, just don't overdo it too quickly.
Mike, great that increased meds have AFib back in check, though no one likes additional meds.
Bill, have you set up a new move date or goal?
Steve, through the years I have learned that my attitude determines my life and mindset; a deep faith in God a positive attitude can get me through anything. Understanding that and knowing that what I may consider bad in the long run may be the best thing for me. Even with left knee, shoulder and elbow I know God loves me and is caring for me. Body can heal itself but medical knowledge has greatly advanced. One just has to trust.
Pablo seems energized and even taking something to help keep him calm I have a hard time keeping up with him.

    Good Morning

Dave heading off on a hike to a lake, seems like old times.

Sam we hope to move by the end of summer. It really depends on when the surgeon frees me up to do more which is a minimum of 3 months (2 to go) but could be longer. The wildcard would be the cancer but even if there was evidence of its return we could just fight it up there. We opted for pizza last night to enjoy with Warriors/Mavs game which was one of the handful of streamable games I can see without paying for cable. On the way home with the pie, I saw a large group of people massing on a corner and then start running across the street and realized it was the Tuesday Night Run group I used to be part of. I rarely missed one of those runs. Hard to believe now, but it has been 9 1/2 years since the ortho told me I need to stop running, hiking etc because of my knee unless I liked pain and wanted a fast track to a knee replacement.

    Good afternoon.

Heard back from doctor and sent him some EKGs from my Kardia Mobile device. He’s putting me on 75 mg twice a day. I was on 100, tried 50 for two months and found it didn’t work, so now compromising at 75. We’ll see how it goes.

Had piano chords class this morning. A fellow student, who recently lost her husband to a prolonged illness, fell at home and broke her hip. At a rehab hospital for awhile. Meanwhile another student’s dear friend (100 years old) has had a massive stroke and is in a nursing home. So she wasn’t at class either. We were down to two people. Usually there are four or five, sometimes even more.

Just rain sleet and windy now but might get 8” of snow by tomorrow..

Dave, refreshing to hear you’re back to hiking. Enjoy. Don’t go overboard and hurt anything—they always say “Remember: the mountain will be there tomorrow “.

I am definitely off-plan: had two chocolate chip scones today. And a Devil Dog yesterday at Bible study.
