GM~
- Can only imagine what projects the IN contingent has been busy with all weekend. Hope the stress level is less than 10 and you are prepared to enjoy!
- Good weekend - but totally overdid it with back. VERY sore yesterday. Still not sleeping well either (concerned).
- DW got alot of stuff to the DMIL's Grandaughters (our DN's) over the weekend. Slowly but surely its coming together.
- Looking forward, with fervor, to get the heck out of town for a few days later this month and watching prices for a potential July jaunt to visit Aunt in AK. Not ready to mortgage my home for those two plane tickets....yikes!
Cheers,
Skipper

Good morning.
I hear Alaska is cheaper in January, Skip. 🤣
We're in the direct path but we're expecting rain. I hope the people packing into Austin and it's western suburbs for the eclipse take it personally and decide not to move here as a result.
The estate sale went well. Lots of stuff is gone, including the player piano. Only a few stupidly heavy pieces remain. Of course, they're in the basement. 🙄0 -
Good Morning,
Pablo has been out and fed, trying to verify that he is still on schedule for training.
Sunny this morning, maybe it will stay that way for this afternoon.
I've been known to take a chain saw to items too heavy to get out of house so we could redo. Iron tubs and wrought iron sets respond to hammers.
Settle down and enjoy wedding, do not fret, guess will not care or know if something is not just as you want it.
Skip, have you signed up for Going.com for airfares?
Will work on continuing to breakup garden and plant flowers in front.0 -
Good morning BBB friends.
I'm hitting the road for Salem this morning, to meet with the attorney we hired to help with mom's estate. That will be a six-hour round trip for a half hour meeting. You do what you have to do, I guess.
It will be cloudy all day, here. The eclipse will be so slight that you won't be able to notice.
What part of Alaska? July is prime mosquito season for most of the state. I say this as one who spent six years stationed outside Fairbanks.0 -
Good morning
Sun is bright here today. I have no eclipse glasses so I'll watch on the news tonight.
I think since the pandemic folks run with any reason to have an event to attend and flock to ?
I'm told the boat will not get wet this weekend. Humphhh, we shall see.
Its wedding week in IN! Woohoo! Can't wait to see pictures!!!
Be well BBB!0 -
Good morning BBB friends.
- I got up way too early to make breakfast with the Methodist Men.
- There is a nap in my near future.
- I hope you are following the recovery plan Skip. I hope to get good news on Wednesday. My new motorbike is calling me.
- Best of luck to all of you settling estates. That's not easy or fun work.
- Smooth sailing in IN.
- I hope to sleep through the eclipse.

Morning gang.
We had a lovely rest day yesterday. Did a little shopping on the souvenir shops. Lots of pretty pottery I don't need and not much I was looking for. I did get a tee shirt dress to wear around the house...it was way overpriced for what it is but I needed it and my options here are slim. I really want a pair of floaty wide leg ankle length pants in navy or olive. Saw a few that were close but not right. The ladies of Privada are going shopping in Wednesday so I might tag along...hopefully they know some places.
Then we watched Paris Roubaix bike race and had mango daquaries
.
Today I think we are going to the pickle ball center for a lesson and to buy a ball (someone here lent us paddles) I need to practice more before I play with the 9 am group. Some of them are pretty hard core.
Eclipse is at 70% here. Mostly it looks like it will keep the temps down. High is only forcasted ay 70 today when 80 is more typical. The last one went right thru Nebraska but I was away traveling for work so missed it.0 -
The view in Georegotwn, TX. 10 miles north of Austin.

Yeh, it wasn't much in Atlanta either. I got up from my nap in time to watch it on TV from places more interesting.
Rumor has it there is a basketball game on tonight.0
