Up and at 'em!
Yesterday turned into a mini-medical crisis. Eye had a semi-circle that flashed into view and out, when I moved my eyes, along with a very noticeable floater that had developed last week. My primary doctor's nurse said they would set up an appointment with their eye doc, maybe in about 4 weeks. So I called my old eye doctor and, although he was off for the day, his nurse immediately set up an appointment with the doctor who was covering, for yesterday afternoon--it could be a detached retina. Yikes. That doc examined me and said, just a big floater, which can cause flashes. No detached retina. Phew. Follow up in six weeks to make sure it's still okay.
Went for a walk in the wildlife area here after I got home and dilated eyes got back to normal. Beautiful sunset over the river while the peepers chorused along with the birds. Some wildflowers are starting to open up here and there, and tree buds filling in the empty branches. Grateful for my eyes...
Bob, good luck with your radiation tx.
Bible study this morning. Tomorrow I head to DS's for a few days to dog-sit while they are gone and regulate their piano.0 -
Mornin' gents
Prayers that all goes well with radiation, Bob.
I was right. The scale did not approve. Up a pound
Satan! Get thee behind me! ;-)0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Hope all goes well, Bob.
Getting ready to go for another hike. The weather isn't the best, but today is the only day a hike fits in the schedule.0 -
Good Morning
Yikes Mike. Glad the eye is ok.
Bob, I pray radiation goes well. After the first couple I found it to be somewhat routine largely thanks to the center I went to. I just finished mine 9 weeks ago.
I have my 5 week followup with my back surgeon. Things seem to be going well. I am hoping for some easing of the limits on my activity and some guidance to begin routine exercise beyond the sitting hamstring stretches, or a short stint in PT to provide some structure. Gabapentin is 1/2 of what it was pre surgery and 1/3 of what it was last summer. Only a rare temporary nerve buzz now and then. I am eager to start the long slow journey back to some level of fitness. Too much butt time. Neck is improving with less time in the brace. Heather will accompany me but I will drive today for the first time since Wednesday as my neck range of motion has improved. I need to take her to the airport tomorrow morning.0 -
Prayers for you Bob!
Sounds as you are on mend Bill, I to have been having too much butt time.
Mike, glad it was just a floater.
Head and face starting to heal, peeling now and no more bleeding from chemical which I quite using last Thursday.
Cloudy today but should still reach mid 80's0
