DW has pulled muscle in hip and pinched nerve in back, has to use crutches to walk; DMIL has two cardiologist appointments today, so I will take her. Hope she does not touch my left side or we will both go down.
Bought new battery powered lawn mower from Lowe's, had to go to Athens to pick it up' ley them load in back of DW's car, got home yesterday they gave me a much lower priced mower than I had I purchased, guess my fault for not checking; but with leg and shoulder I do not move as good as I once did.
Congrats on Collin getting a job.
Lite rain this morning, may be heavier later. Cooler by Sunday.
Hope Mike is enjoying turning piano and time away.
Dave, thats what us grands are good for saving DGS from all those girls of course in a few years he will want to be in middle of them.
Enjoy the Day1 -
Bill, that’s wonderful news about your doctor’s visit. Good for you!
Dave, with that hike you did I don’t think you have to worry about a couple of burgers and fries.
Steve, glad your retirement is seeming to fit together. Now you and Connie need to figure out a way to go on a vacation somewhere. Everyone needs that. Good luck.
Long ordeal yesterday getting piano in tune, but that’s finally done. 230 strings … some loose tuning pins made it much harder to stabilize. Tried to synchronize the dampers on Wednesday, but that’s not coming out very well. Will work on that again today and regulate the hammers and keys.
Having to walk the dog early in the morning is a good change for me—a different way to set the pace for the day.
Good luck with DMIL, Sam.

Good morning gentlemen.
Sassy woke us at 4, throwing up next to our bed. After cleaning that up, it took me until five to get back to sleep, then the daylight woke me at 6. Still feel tired. Have to drive Rita to the hospital for some lab tests, anyway. It's a "fasting lab", so she doesn't get any coffee and we are going early, anyway.
Working to finish turning a big platter from a maple tree we cut down at church a year ago. Spectacular flame grain through the middle. I was about halfway through sanding when I had to stop yesterday. Hope to complete everything today.0 -
Good Morning!
Sam, I am so sorry to hear about DW. Good luck with DMIL today!
I survived my first day of cardio at the gym. It went better than hoped splitting time between the elliptical & the bike and a bit of a walk. My energy did fade badly as the day progressed. Back at it today. I started in at the dulcimer yesterday which went better than I hoped. Thank goodness for muscle memory. I was able to practice and get some worship in. Nobody threw rocks at the house to shut me up so that is good.0 -
Thanks guys for the good Ts and Ps. I go to my third radiation session today. So far so good.
Congrats Steve on deciding to retire. I liked working but nto the "politics" when they come along. Don't miss that stuff.
So sorry about your DW Sam. Sending my best Ts and Ps for her to get better ASAP.
I too am glad your eyes are "OK" Mike. Good news!
Sounds like a great Hike Dave.
Ah Bill the small hernia tear makes more sense on the weight restriction thing. Good continued success in beating the cancer thing for sure. Yeah drugs and lack of hearing aids don't help me with Dr conversations. sometimes I leave hearing aids home to prevent loss. I hear "OK" but miss some things.
Hang in there guys!
