Great that you were able to be excused from jury duty, Dave. You are as young as you feel, buddy.
I could not tolerate spicy foods at all before starting on a biologic. I thought it was just age related, but turns out it was mild immune mediated ulcerative colitis. I can eats whatever I want now, which is nice for a pepper head.
Glad your DW is feeling better, Sam. Knee brace and cane and knee still popping. Guess you aren't gonna sneak up on anybody.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Keep a positive attitude, guys.
The cold rains return today. It's a tough transition after yesterday was so nice.
One thing that made me feel old, or at least a bit out of step: The jury instructions for reporting to the courthouse said the dress code was business casual. Now, I remember when that meant a sport coat and tie for men. Now, it means a pair of slacks and a nice shirt. I dressed to that standard. To my surprise, of the 130 people in the jury pool, maybe 10 were dressed business casual. The rest were almost all wearing jeans and tennis shoes. Shirts were T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies ... The only men dressed as I was were a couple other old guys.0 -
Good Morning
Sam, are they not able to figure out the knee thing?
Cooler temps have returned but the rainy season has well ended. Heather comes home tonight after being gone a week. I am more than happy. I am now following the post treatment diet guidelines more closely now. Avoid most fruit, nuts, fiber and spice. I haven’t had coffee in a month. It is helping so its worth giving it a week or two before I start reintroducing things back slowly. Yesterday in my determination to get to the gym and keep the cardio I realized at the door to the gym that I had slipped on my sandals which is not allowed. I ended up going home and just walking. Today will I will finish my first week of daily cardio. I am grateful for the progress on what will be a long journey. I am just happy to be relatively pain free and off so many pills. Today I will further reduce the Gabapentin down to just 600/day. No opiates, no Tylenol just the Celecoxib. Frankly I didn’t think I would ever be able to get to this point. I am more than happy to follow the surgeons 3-6mos recovery plan.1 -
That's all great news Bill. Glad to hear things are looking up for you.0
