    Rise and shine...

DD got her car, (2009 Honda Fit). She loves it and got it registered with her own money--said it was only $10. (!?) And no sales tax--there's a highway tax every July. She also moved the next day to a new place--much better than where she had been living. Went to an acupuncturist for her foot that got broken in January and left a slight limp walking barefoot. Says the limp is gone now. Paid the fellow with mangoes picked from her yard. She's doing okay I guess... thaks for those prayers.

Paddling today on a new stretch of river; looks navigable on satellite pictures, but we'll see.

Dave, 14 miles and 1500 feet up sounds easy only if there's an escalator on the mountain.

Sam, glad to hear your knee has a date with the doctors. Good luck with it!

Have to pack lunch and some watergear.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Supposed to rain yesterday, nut it was a beautiful day. DW says the best forecast is to look out the window. I think she's right. Today is looking pretty again.

Hope the river works out well, Mike.

Today, I'll do some work on a maple vase I am hollowing out. And DW wants to go to the store, so she has the ingredients to make some pancit to take down to Salem, tomorrow. There is a gathering of family and close friends at the old family house following mom's funeral. It's a potluck.

    Good Morning

It seems I never checked in yesterday.

Sam, I am glad to hear the knee is getting tended to at last.

Mike, interesting way to scope out rivers to travel. I hope you are amazed.

I went through a rough patch with my gut after having some pizza from a new fusion place the night before last. I rolled the dice and lost. But I got some cardio in yesterday and seem to have gotten through it and slept well last night. Heather is still sick so I will likely lay low and just putter around here doing little things. I didn’t bang on the dulcimer yesterday so I will spend some time there. Now that the weather has calmed down I don’t have to retune it as much though I see we might have a last gasp of rain tomorrow.
