    We even remember those moms who have passed on, for they made us who we are.

    This is the first Mother's Day without my mom. Feels strange. I'll devote my day to Rita.

    Prayers of comfort for you Dave.

    Heather orchestrated her own Mother’s Day it seems, likely to not have it all fall on Patrick to arrange. My eldest is clueless on this stuff and I have run out of speeches. We will be off to the movies this afternoon and perhaps a burger. Last night Patrick made us Pastitsio, our favorite dish from a local Greek restaurant. Along with his homemade Focaccia, it was quite a production, but it was excellent. I took a chance on it since it isn’t terribly spicy, etc and partook, which I am paying for this morning gut wise. To make it a special evening our kitchen sink backed up during cleanup when Heather ran the disposal. The trap assembly for the dual sinks it turns out is a one big glued up assembly that can only be loosened at the wall, the disposal and the sink and then it all has to be carefully removed as a unit. It was hard enough for me to get down there being mindful of my back limits. So now a plumber is coming tomorrow and we are back on paper plates etc. There is a chance it is further down the drain anyway. Drives me nuts.
