    RIse and shine out there...

    Overcast and a little cool here. Got up to high 70's yesterday. First summer-like day of the year. Brings cheer to the heart.

    Got the piano put back together and I couldn't believe how good it sounded compared to the clanging noise it was making. Mellow and musical. I was skeptical it would work and pleasantly surprised when it did. Lots of further mechanical adjustments still needed on the keys and other parts, but will be definitely worth the effort. Only other thing is cosmetic--the white keys are all cracked and yellowed and chipped in front. I could try putting new keytops on; not necessary, but something I haven't learned yet.

    Onward and downward...

    Quiet day at the practice yesterday. No chaos or drama. Soooo nice for a change.

    I can imagine the feeling of satisfaction, Mike.

    Getting ready to head out for my weekly hike. I'll be climbing over the shoulder of Big Hump Mountain and then up the Duckabush River. Should be a pretty day.

    David, taking Sassy with you? you know she would love to go, and be good company.
    Storms set off alarm twice last night, call early this morning that DGD has run away; Pablo upset we left him yesterday when I took DW to doctor and insist we both stay in room with him. He has training at 10:15 this morning and will leave him in doggy daycare till after laser treatment on right eye this afternoon.
    Hope Steve's day is going good.

    Mike, you have come a long way from watching those early YouTube videos, finding tools on the internet and deciding to give it a go. Yankee ingenuity is alive and well in you!

    Just planning to get my cardio in with a local walk and do some clean up around the house now that things have settled down gut wise. Heather’s visiting an old friend today.
