Hoo boy. Our office manager confided in me yesterday that the young lady that is the partner doctor has been taking breaks during office calls and smoking whacky tobaccy in her vehicle in the parking lot. Evidently, I am the last to know in the whole practice. Frankly, her over all demeanor and productivity has improved, so I dunno, is it really a problem other than the entire staff being aware? This is like an episode from "Arrested Development".
Dog training in the rain again today.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning!
My experience is that there has not been an office or company yet in which there is not a certain level of drama and dysfunction.
I was so wound up about work yesterday that I put all of my personal belongings in the car "just in case". It really felt that bad. I didn't get fired yesterday, but it was stupid uncomfortable. Then I realized. I gave them 9 weeks notice when it could have been two. I'm making myself crazy trying to keep going in an awkward environment when they still have not found my replacement. There is nothing that is keeping me there in terms of money or law. I could leave tomorrow. That oddly is giving me a peace. I made a promise to the support team that I will try and honor by staying, but seriously, any more days like yesterday and I'm gone.
Today I hope that we can make our first seasonal visit to the farmer's market. Beyond that, I have a ton of yard work to do. It is supposed to be in the mid to upper 80s today. I still don't have any garden planted. I would at least like to get a few tomatoes in the ground. I also have to mow, weed whack, and plant two viburnum bushes for Connie. I have no idea what the rest of the world calls them as I am married to a Latin teacher.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Here in Tumwater, we call them viburnum. Go figure.
Thanks for the input on Sassy, Lee.
Kind of cloudy and cool, this morning. Going to DGS' soccer game, then bringing the grandkids home with us for the weekend.

Good Morning
Steve, I don’t know if I would bring too many of those personal items back into the office, although carting them out to the care must have been a bit therapeutic.
Temps have settled into the the mid 70’s, good walking weather. I am hoping to enjoy the Preakness this afternoon, but I am not sure what the day will bring. I roasted a turkey breast which we bought on sale after Easter. I will be making turkey pot pie with a biscuit crust and save the rest of the meat for another one down the line. I won’t be able to eat too much of it but the family enjoys it.
