Frustrated

So, I've decided I do not like being on the pill, even though I'm only on the mini pill. Thankfully, it's only a temporary measure until I've had my tubes tied. I've been slowly gaining a pound here and there over the past couple weeks, and regardless my efforts with walking, eating decently and drinking plenty of water, I can't get rid of the bloated, disgusting feeling. And there's no way I've eaten enough to have gained back this weight. I'm exclusively breastfeeding and I haven't figured that into my caloric goals, so, at the very least, I ought to be maintaining, but I've gained back nearly 6lbs in the past two weeks. :grumble:

Edit to add: if one were to look at my diary, you'll notice I didn't log this past (Labor Day) weekend- we were out and about and on the go, but I didn't eat more than usual, although my choices weren't as good. But, even accounting for that, There's no way I took in an extra 3500 calories a day those three days.

I understand your frustration with birth control I felt the same way. I cannot take the pill (it raises my blood pressure) my doctor put me on the mirena which is fine I don't care about the type of birth control but I ran into the same problem when I first had it inserted I was so bloated that I gained 7lbs in a few weeks and it infuriated me my stomach was also rock hard (not in a good way) due to all the excess water I was retaining. I called my doctor and he put me on a fluid pill its the same type of pill they give pregnant women when they swell excessively so it should be safe while breastfeeding ( I never produced milk so I am not sure 100%) it was like a magic pill I was only on it for a short period until my body adjusted to the birth control but I dropped those 7lbs in record time and felt so much better and lighter. Its worth a try to ask about it and see if there is something you can do. I know how hard it is to be trying and not seeing results.
