    RIse and shine...

Nice, easy hike yesterday with DD and other family, incl. several little kids. We lost little Danny for about 5 minutes as he ran ahead ("don't run ahead!"--boy never listens) and he took a wrong turn. All's well that ends well. Lovely Audubon sanctuary, an old farm with pastures, woods, hill overlooking a marsh, and sunny, 70º dry weather. Delightful time.

Doc called and said the cyst and swelling should go away in about a month. Wear compression socks and elevate on a pillow when I can. Haven't had any pain, so that's good.

Bill, hope you can get some help with the gut issues. Lee, great fishing story.

Visiting with my sons and SILs and GKs this afternoon as the womenfolk yak at the bridal shower. Eldest SIL is making homemade pizza in his convection oven.

    Good morning!

Mike, you have a lot of family going on. That's awesome!

I'm hoping that Connie and I can make it to one of the larger nursery's in the area today. I also want to get some yard work done, and household chores.

One more week of work. I've got this! Next week will be a compressed closing of May so that my assistant can do the process start to finish. They are still at the starting line on finding a replacement. That is not my worry. We are actually hoping that I might be finished on Thursday.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents

Dropping girls off at boarding kennel last night was a little sad. They both have been there before, Babe, the older spaniel, knew why we were there and kept wanting to get back in the truck. Lucy was all over the place sniffing and wanting to go meet the other dogs. I already miss them. Cat is going to a different place this morning.
We have a private car taking us to JFK, it is actually a wash when you factor in gas and parking. The only drawback is the driver is a bit of a talker. Too bad there won't be a baseball game to put on the radio at the time we are being driven in.
Renting a car in Alicante, Spain and will drive to Altea. That will be an adventure with DW.
Adhering to WW shouldn't be too difficult. We won't be eating out much, if at all.
Whew! Glad the little fella didn't get too lost.
    You got this, Steve.
Blurry eye? Did the docs determine the cause?

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Great family time, Mike.

Sassy knows what is going on when we drop her off, too. Lee. Always a bit traumatic for both of us. Eight more days until I'll be leaving her. We're making our annual trip to Las Vegas a week from Monday.

Light rain, off and on, today, heavy - potentially record-breaking - rain tomorrow and Monday. Wonderful. DGS has a soccer game this afternoon. I'll take an umbrella.

    Good Morning

There is nothing scarier when a child goes missing. 5 minutes can seem like an eternity. I am glad he was quickly found.

Lee, safe travels. Have fun with the family.

Temps are cooling off back to the 70’s for a couple days, probably from Dave’s storm front, then up to 90+. It was a bit warm when I walked yesterday. My 2 dulcimer lessons were quite good. Both were focused on how to self manage your learning and what it takes to improve to the next level. Some good learnings that will help me. 3 more today. One on Tips and Tricks for learning to play by ear, one on chords theory and usage (always a migraine waiting to happen) and for fun one to learn “This is My Father’s World” which I sort of know but not really. It is good to be back at it. Stomach was active but not disabling as was the fatigue.

    Morning Guys,
Enjoy trip, DGS and family Lee. Girls will be eager to see you return.
You can handle 5 day Steve!
Glad gut is a little better Bill.
How did truck do up mountain Dave, have you named it?
Mike, family hikes and caring is what makes life.
Bob, trust you and DW are well.
Left eye still hazy with lots of floaters, knee is tender where I may have over done it a couple of times.

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Hope Spain is nice.

The truck did well on all the chuck holes and washboards. Much better than our car. No name for the truck. Naming vehicles just seems strange to me. I think that's more of a Southern thing. I call it "the truck."

DGS' soccer game was fun, yesterday, the rain held off. We went out for tasty burgers at a local place, afterwards. This morning, DGD is playing in a marimba band at the farmers market, so we're missing church. Choir is done singing for the summer.
