Did my first Epsom Salt treatment of the tomatoes and peppers this week. I make a tbsp to a gallon solution and sprinkle on the leaves. Thank you for the pro tip Sam. It worked well last year.
I think I will always need someone to direct or organize me in this life. I am so used to my staff setting things up and pointing me in the right direction, I am pretty sure I would be lost without that assistance.
Congratulations to Heather on her re-retirement!
Dog training this morning, maybe get boat out this afternoon. Tomorrow putting M on a flight to Germany from Newark for 3 weeks. She'll be baby sitting DGK while the 'rents take a cruise, then flying back home with DDIL and DGS. DS#1 is coming back over in September.
Panera made us some really good sandwiches yesterday for the clinic, but it was expensive. I ordered a sampling of half sandwiches with side salad , chips, and cookies for 12 people. $20 a head. Next time Dominoes!

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Lee, I hope that Mary has an awesome trip!

Congratulations to Heather on her re-retirement! You two will be in Oregon before you know it.

Dave, I like the way you think on planning retirement activities. My biggest challenge so far is planning around this very hot and humid weather.

I weighed 170.3 this morning which is the lowest I have weighed in decades. I feel that I still have 10 pounds to go.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Great job of the weight loss, Steve.

Traffic yesterday was horrendous. On the way down, south of Portland, a truck dropped part of its load leading to a 10-mile backup. I had an extra half hour planned in for the drive and still arrived 15 minutes late for our bunch reservation. On the way home, there was bad traffic in Salem and awful traffic getting to and through Portland, again. Took me an extra hour and a half to get home. My nether regions were numb. From sitting so long.

Should be a pleasant day, today. I hope to do some work in the shop, with huge piles of both madrone and black walnut facing me (not to mention all the cherry and maple I already had).

    Good Morning

That was quite a quick trip Dave.

Nothing really planned today except some shopping and errands. My stomach has bern acting up again so I will take it easy. I ran out of patience with getting responses from a couple of handymen and scheduled my plumber to come out
on Monday to redo the laundry shut off valves. I was tempted to do it myself but my plumbing track record speaks for itself.

Gosh Dave I LOVE the historic Mill District in Salem. Truly remarkable. Glad your mom had such good times there.
Getting packed up soon for our annual trip to the Oregon Coast.
    Nice weather for now.
Hope all are having a good day
