@GRANDMAJACKIE - Glad things are going well in the new house! And thanks for sharing the pics of your handsome boys, Pete & Parker! (Note: I hope you don't mind I edited your post to make the pictures visible without having to click on the two links.)
@CLEPANT - I feel for you with the oppressive heat you are experiencing in your area. It's been hot & muggy here (at least for what we're used to), but nothing like what you're going through. Hang in there and try to stay cool! Maybe join Brinkley in the kiddie wading pool in the SHADE.
@ANACONDA - WOW!!! Your surgery incision looks FANTASTIC!!!!! Your surgeon did an amazing job on it and it is healing beautifully! In a while, that scar is just plain going to vanish *POOF!* and you'll barely see it unless you're looking for it. Wonderful! I've seen some knee surgery scars where it looked like the surgeon had their eyes closed and/or didn't care if it was straight or not.
I think I can finally say I'm going to live....a little tongue in cheek, but dannnng....a couple of days last week, I didn't want to very much. I was so sick and miserable. Slept mostly day & night...when I wasn't trying to go to the bathroom (unsuccessfully) every 20 minutes day & night. It took from the start on Monday July 1st to sometime overnight Sat/Sunday for the antibiotics to get things anywhere close to functioning properly again. I was physically & emotionally drained all day Sunday and hoping it was done and gone for good. Still not 100% yet now, but I'm close. I'm still working on getting my pre-infection energy levels back and my body is still having a tiny bit of trouble regulating my temp. It hardly takes any exertion to get clammy & sweaty. But that just might be a little bit because it's July and that's the weather right now. But glad to be back up & "running", figuratively speaking.
Dave
Dave, Dr Moore at Providence is a terrific Ortho Surgeon, it's cool to be able to tell which surgeon did the surgery based on the incision. My friend had the other guy and the scar is pretty ugly.1 -

They said the heat wave was over...bwahahahah...101 is today's predicted high...not over very much, sun gods!!!
It just means that this retired 74 year old has to get outta bed at 6:00 a.m. in order to get her walk in and not get fried on the California sidewalks.

We got a couple days of relief , but it growing in humidity and temps again. Good news is that I am up before other dog walkers and most people sleep in on weekends.

SWEET, that's GOAL for @CPANUS and I!!! CONGRATS!!! :drinker:
HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
I have some fun plans....axe throwing followed by dinner tonight, then right now our town (with much Irish heritage) is having Leprechaun Days and tomorrow morning I will be driving the Grand Marshall & his wife in my Mustang convertible near the front of the parade (behind the color guard, marching band, and fire truck lol), then carnival & food trucks in the afternoon, and then a live band at 7pm followed by fireworks at 10pm, and Sunday going to go ride my motorcycle with a couple friends to pre-ride a route for a 100-mile charity bicycle ride we are leading/supporting/chaperoning(?)/etc next weekend. Busy, busy!! But fun.

@CLEPANT - Thanks! I hope to get a few pics today. The axe throwing and dinner plans fell through last night, but my wife and I decided to finally go to a fairly new restaurant nearby that we've been wanting to hit for a while. It was incredibly good and we were not disappointed at all. I wish places like that weren't so stinking expensive though. It's ridiculous. We'd go so much more often if it were more affordable. Even with what groceries cost these days, we could've bought close to two week's worth of groceries.
Annnnnyway...I'm dressed, ready, and excited to head to the parade route shortly to pick up the Grand Marshall (our town's Fire Chief and former Captain with the County Sherriff's department...I'd better behave!! LOL) and his daughter who was the 2018 Miss Minnesota Teen USA. I'll be sure to get some pics today. It's going to be hot & humid (for us) at the start of the parade. At least we'll be at the front so we'll be finished before it gets really* toasty.
Cheers and have a great day!
Dave0
