Losing weight when it's cold

It's so cold in Sydney - it's down to around 4c at night and 10-14c in the day. I'd made a load of tasty clear vegetable soup...and I've only eaten one. I feel like something more solid and substantial. So I'm eating the prepped dinners for lunch, still only around 300 calories. So success is not having to stick to plans, but by responding to needs. Tonight I'm going to add some mashed cauliflower to my soups so they feel more comforting and filling for lunch...or dinner. Have you got a trick you use during the cold weather?
