    Good morning gentlemen.

Well, I expected to see spectacular scenery, yesterday, and that didn't come to pass. I started my hike in fog and moved on up into the inside of a cloud. Mount Rainier was never in sight. Fairly tough hike, too. I covered 16.6 miles, with 3,741 feet of vertical. The forecast was for clear skies, but the big mountain makes its own weather. Anyway, there was beautiful forest lower down, a good workout - and I saw about a dozen marmots in the upper meadows (where the views should have been).

Got a call that my chainsaw is ready to pick up, so I can get the rest of that black walnut - just in time for hot weather to return, too. Forecasts are for temps in the 90s all weekend.

    Good Morning,
Me and Pablo were out walking at 6:30 this morning, yesterday humidity was down not today by 7:30 soaked.
Orthopedic this morning, knee doing good, preop for shoulder scheduled 17th July with surgery 2nd August.
DW has PT this afternoon and still not driving, heat index predicted 103, little too warm to be walking around with Pablo for an hour.
No plans for tomorrow or weekend.
Hope all have a Wonderful 4TH

    Good Morning

Dave, have you found the weight you took off have enabled your hiking?

Another day north of 105. I can’t wait to be living along the Oregon Coast. We got a walk in to beat the heat, I will try to do it again today. I did some baking yesterday for the first time in quite a while and made a couple batches of Butter Tarts to celebrate the Canadian portion of our family. Heather ran half over to the neighbors before they “disappeared” largely at her hand. Stomach is acting up a bit but not as bad as before. It had me up in the middle of the night. I guess it didn’t enjoy my tri tip and potatoes. I am glad I didn’t try a little salad again. Thankfully I came down and rested in the recliner and was able to get back to sleep after an hour or so.

    Good afternoon.,.

Got caught up on bills this morning and then dropped off the first 7 piano keys I renewed—new white plastic tops that look like ivory. Old ones were every one chipped and cracked and yellowed. So this is a big facelift.

Slept with new CPAP last night—only 5 hours— and falling asleep as I write this…
